: "Don't mention it. I'm sure Fezzan will have some if you still want them when we get there."

If the subject comes up, Gregor can just answer Charlotte quietly but honestly: "yeah, I wanna, but I don't want to propose right now 'cause Chris & Ami.' Pretty sure she would understand. :P
I would be more worried about a public shameing than a quiet conversation, to be honest. Charlotte asking in private is one thing. Someone else going "Hey Gregor, what's the deal with you and her?" out loud would be a little more tricky :P

: "What? Er, no. I'm afraid not."

Well, that entrance could have gone better. He hoped that people were to busy paying attention to Sal's story to register what was going on.

So today I get a job to pick up a load from a company called Mohawk Gin Inc. I'm thinking: "Sweet! the party truck rolls on!" I'm anticipating, not unreasonably, that I'll be carrying large quantities of alcoholic beverages.
The pickup location is way out in the countryside. A little unusual, but it beats busy city streets.

I get to the location and discover that my cargo is actually...hay. Bales of hay stuffed into a trailer. Most Non-Indicative Company Name Ever?

Just outside the door, Gregor had been debating whether or not to go back to the main room when he heard Valor's question.

Ah, a perfect distraction!
...and I kinda want to know, myself.

He walked back in as casually and inconspicuously as he could.

I thought Gregor wasn't proposing to Charlotte yet. :P You can still hang out and talk with the rest of us without pressing the subject.
He's not, but if the subject comes up it might be difficult to get out of without hurting someone's feelings.

Buuut what's wrong with things being obviously up? It's still RP.
Anyway, prepare for gratuitous usage of Alex's blush sprite.
Put yourself in Gregor's shoes for a moment. You walk back in just after rushing out. Someone without a lot of tact (say, Tantallos) then says (out loud):

"Hey sentinel guy, why'd you run out of the room just as sniper girl walked in? Are you trying to avoid her or something?"

Then what do you say?

"I was just picking her a giant bouquet of flowers as a representation of my undying love. But on my way in, an evil Light Mage turned them invisible. Here, Tantallos, I know you can fix it if you try hard enough!"
Lulz.

Yeah, alright. I'm parked for the night and have nothing else to do. Might as well try to have some fun :P

Gregor should sneak back in through another entrance. Or something. Why exactly did he run and hide? He worried that if he proposes to Charlotte now it'll look like monkey-see monkey-do?
Partly this, partly because he doesn't want to accidentally "steal Chris' thunder". Would you want one of your friends to propose at your own wedding announcement? This is Chris and Ami's turn in the spotlight.

Starting to regret having Gregor run out of the room. I thought it was funny at the time (and the way Chris just went along with it was extra-amusing), but now he can't really go back without making it obvious that something is up. Awkward questions would surely follow.

Guess I'll sit tonight out.

That's the way I see it. Work hard, post in FEF during free time :P

: " You think Tantallos would let you use his keep for a wedding? It doesn't sound very Plague-Dragony to me."

Gregor was simply joking around, pleased to see that Chris had taken his advice to heart so soon. He knew the two (three?) of them would be happy as well.
: "CHRIS! What - when did -"

At the sound of Charlotte's voice, however, he quickly began trying to make himself scarce.

It's not a big problem, I should be able to make the edits later today.

But for now, I have some booze to pick up!

...Wait. Crap.
Xan, did you want Sal's new sprite to keep the helmet or unleash his glorious hair?

Now I'm just eagerly awaiting Sal's promotion. His new sprite is one of my favorites C:

Yer a cruel person, Haspen :v

Thanks for the vote, freeform. I don't think Haspen's gonna be dissuaded though.

Currently working on a battle sprite for Candy. I'm finding it difficult to produce the adequate level of sparkliness :P
