I think the Omnissiah is displeased with me for some reason. For the past week it's just been one breakdown and repair shop visit after another; first we got a crappy trailer and had to get it fixed. Then the truck died in South Dakota, stranding us for a solid day until we could get it fixed enough to limp back to Las Vegas. The truck then needed another two days of repairs, and just got out today. We go pick up a new trailer...and it is also broken, in an entirely different way than the previous one. We might be stuck another day or two.

It doesn't affect me so much because as a trainee I get paid a fixed wage (though my training is getting delayed), but my poor trainer made just $24 this last week ;_;

Are there any games like Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy Wars? NOT in the sense of Tactical RPG, but in the sense of 'Marry X with Y, obtain Z who can then be married with P to obtain son/daughter L that has a line of abilities/defects dependent on the father/mother pair. Sort of like the 'Pokémon' breeding stuff.

Basically, a life simulation where you need to do this in order to 'fight off' someone/something big bad. (If that doesn't exist, then something extremely customizable like Disgaea 2 for creating classes and fighting)

Not sure if its quite what you're looking for, but there's a strategy/tactics game called Record of Agarest War (yay Engrish!) in which you marry one of your female allies, have a child with her, and your descendent continues the fight. This goes on for a few generations. Haven't played it myself, but it might be worth looking into.

I am so, so tired of Japanese characters with low self-esteem.  It seems like there has to be someone to go "but I'm weak and I couldn't possibly help out my friends and I depend on their care" in every single show.  Over and over again.  At length.
