So who would want to be in the initial mercenary group? I wouldn't mind joining up in the prologue, or Chapter 1, but my character doesn't seem the mercenary type. She's a rancher that gets mixed up in some bad stuff (and, if she joins as a trainee, her horse is missing or stolen).

Partly as a result of the "Are your parents deeeeeeead" poll in the other thread, I have decided that not only will my character's parents be alive, well, and happily married, but she'll also have a large extended family that she lives with or near. Take that, Conveniently an Orphan trope!

Minor point of correction Crimson, but Grifen is a Nomad, not a Bow Knight. Yes they're technically the same class, but one implies being an actual soldier instead of just being some peasant who's good with a bow and horse
