Yeah, while I didn't actually enter the brothel part of the truck stop it definitely gave me creepy vibes. Thankfully I managed to find a nice, normal souvenir that included aliens but nothing about the cathouse.

...I also just realized that by telling this story, I've basically cemented my status as god(dess, according to Frumple) of trucking and prostitutes. Goddammit.

Truck stop in Nevada, north of Vegas. Right next to an Air Force base, actually; you can sometimes see Predator drones being test-piloted.

Brothels are legal in most areas of Nevada except Vegas and Reno, so it's not surprising you saw one. Still wouldn't recommend using it, though.
I was aware of that (though the fact that they aren't legal in Sin City itself is a minor wtf). I was more surprised by the fact that they were really pushing the whole alien/Area 51 thing. "Out of this world experience" and other cheesy lines.

Huckleberry jam is amazing, but sadly hard to get where I live if you want the authentic stuff. Strawberry is my go-to peanut butter pairing.

Unrelated happy/wtf, apparently we're driving through Area 51 according to my trainer. There's an air force base nearby, a bunch of targets out in the desert for bombing runs, and a couple of predator drones on test flights. Pretty cool, but no UFOs yet.
