Bio (WIP?): To those who don't know him (i.e., almost everyone), Father Duvall of Austrys is a cold, blunt, and rather caustic loner with the strength of one half his age. He takes no nonsense from anyone and never pulls a punch...metaphorically or literally.
To those that know his past, however, Gordon is a bitter, terribly lonely man attempting to atone for his perceived sins.
Around twenty five years ago, Gordon was a younger, happier (though still rather stoic) man working his way through the priesthood of Jadyne. However, he bumped into the love of his life (and childhood friend) purely by accident one day, and that meeting was enough to ignite a runaway romance. Gordon left the priesthood to marry his dearest, and the newlyweds settled in for a long and happy life together.
However, their marriage was barely seven months old when tragedy of the worst kind struck. In his despair, Gordon assumed that he was being punished by the Light Dragon for revoking his former vows and swore to never again leave her service. He joined the small sect known as Jadyne's Tears, a group that emphasized and studied the mystical dragon's seven years of grief. Gordon became a sort of warrior-priest, using his anger and pain as fuel to keep traveling year after year, seeking an end to his misery.
Gordon is around fifty years old at this time. However, he is more than strong enough to walk around in decent amounts of armor, and his voice and mind are sharp as a tack. Because of this, he often gives a first impression of a prematurely-greying adult. He's not fond of teenagers, adults, other old people...anyone, really, but especially those who do not take things seriously. However, he does have a soft spot for children, though he takes pains not to let others see it.
