General Discussion / Re: The Dream Thread
« on: July 06, 2013, 04:37:48 pm »
A bunch of girls who I see around school frequently but don't hang out with much drove past me while I was at a gas station, pointing and laughing at me. I fell to the ground and was taken to the hospital where I pronounced dead from drive-by laughing.
I was about to say "what game?!", but then I remembered what thread this was.

Wikipedia is run by people on the Internet. It's only natural that some of the Internet manages to get on there.

Gregor hadn't moved from his spot on the floor, and was only half paying attention.

: "'Dishonorable conduct', he says. He doesn't have the slightest clue..."

Right, exactly. They also don't bother to sew initiates up after each surgery.
Well, to be fair, they are trying to induce the regeneration factor that Space Marines have and need.
Bingo. And, again, this doesn't sound like anything out of the ordinary for SS2013.

"Eh, I'm sure he'll be fine."

If you can't survive massive xenobacterial infection, you are not worthy to stand amongst the Emperor's Angels of Death.
Hur dur Imperium that fights Chaos don't know bout no Nurgle
Huh? MSH is right; the operating room is filled with toxins and alien plagues in order to test initiates. If they can't survive the surgeries, there's no way they can handle real Space Marine life.

Huh, this is sounding more and more like Surgery Simulator 2013 the more we talk about it. Make it happen!

I believe there is one. It just died.

While you're updating, could you throw Tantallos' druid sprite in the OP?

Thanks in advance!

I think they split it into multiple operations. The otherwise-terrible Blood Ravens novel series takes that viewpoint. Of course, the unlucky bastard is left strapped to the operating table in between operations and they don't exactly bother with proper sterilization...

Hardcore Space Marine: start as Imperial Guardsmen on a planet beset by every faction except the Space Marines. They arrive at the end... to set up the markers for Exterminatus.
Hardcore Surgeon Simulator 2013: You're operating on a dude to turn him into a space marine.
I'd play it.

Finished my first playthrough of Katawa Shoujo, good ending with Emi. ...I think I almost cried. And that's not something that happens to me. I'm not sure if I can take playing through the other girls' storylines. I also went back and did the bad ending, which wasn't as painful as I thought it'd be because it was over pretty quick.

Oh man, if you can you totally should.  They're so, so good.

If I had any spare time, I'd actually probably do another KS runthrough, because I miss it so much...
Agreed. Aside from building up enough emotional fortitude to get through another route, its a great game/visual novel.
* Sirus still needs to do Rin's story some day

"Thank the Dragon..."

Gregor collapsed against one of the real walls.

Now to try and avoid too much angst while not magically shrugging off the bad news :P

There's a city named Battleground in Washington state.  I want to live in a city named Battleground.
There's a city I drove through in Nevada called Battle Mountain. That sounds like something out of Pokemon or whatever.
