: "Ugh. Royal Guard turned us down; we didn't even get a chance to prove ourselves."

: "Seems like your undead adventure went well, though. I'm looking forward to hearing more about it, once we sort out whatever's going on here. I don't suppose you have any idea? We came here for some sort of council and then got attacked, and that's all I know."

Gregor gave the assassin an odd look as he passed.

: "That you, Chris? What's with the new outfit?"

...You'd think that having rifles, bolas, and steel swords around would make monsters stay away. Instead my village has been attacked three times in a row and I just lost ALL TEN of my traps in a single event. Didn't even find the beast responsible, so its not even a blessing in disguise. Just an utter loss.

At the go-kart tracks I've been to, the "finish line" is more like a pit area; separated from the main track and only entered at the end of the race. Slowing down is usually required by the rules so you don't hit a wall and careen into other people.

The fact that you have to make it back alive is really annoying. Until you start getting much better equipment (which, of course, requires iron or better), its hard to bring enough stuff with you to clear a location and make it back, especially when you can't escape random encounters in the wild and may be out of food.

Any idea what charms do? They're ridiculously rare but I have yet to find a use other than taking up inventory space. If it involves spoilers, just say such and leave it at that.

Ugh! Is there no way to get more water on your trip? I was starting to run low, so I tried a damp cave. No water, and I died just a few squares from the village. Lost lots of really nice stuff, including

Yes. And well over 2k cured meats.

Like I said, I've adventured there twice, killed the monster inside twice, and was told that the mine is now safe for workers twice. Yet no options for workers.

Now I see what happened. Because I got killed before making it back to the village each time, it somehow didn't count. I cleared the mine again and ran straight back to the village, so the option appears now.

No option for such a thing.

...Am I missing something? I've cleared out an iron mine twice, each time saying that it was safe for workers, but I can't figure out how to actually get the iron. I have every building and the maximum number of huts, so there's nothing to actually do with my materials. Also, does carrying more spears make your attacks stronger?

If you investigate wrecked traps, you get a lot of meat and fur.

The event log is much, much better if you read it in Logan Cunningham's voice c:
Sometimes. Other times you get nothing.

Goddamn monsters! Every are there any positive events? Because 99% of them are wrecked traps or dead villagers.

Build up some bait reserves before getting rid of the trapper, in case you have to build more traps.

This is kinda cool. Shame monsters keep wrecking my traps :P
And monsters just loooove killing everyone in the village just as population begins to build to useable levels.

Anyone know what the lodge is for?

Lodge is used to convert gatherers into Hunters (+0.5/person/10s fur and meat) and Trappers (-1 meat +1 bait/person/10s)
Ah, okay. I had the lodge before I built any huts (thought it was a larger hut), so I didn't notice anything about it :P

...Yeah, I do too.

Hm, lets do something about that then.

Should we...

-Name another random fact about our characters
-Point out things we've found funny in the game for whatever reason
-Ponder when Alex is finally going to take the hint that Anja likes him
-Wonder about the possibilities for next chapter, and what the poll pertains to
-What the upcoming mercenaries might be
-Attempt at humor
-Some horrifying mishmash of all of the above in a single post
Hell, let's do all of them!

  • Gregor is a bit of a foodie; the primary reason he wants to travel is to try new flavors and ingredients.
  • Dora and Cilia. That is all.
  • Not until she takes a metaphorical (or perhaps literal) Armorslayer to him.
  • Next chapter, I predict making moves against Prixima. Perhaps invading Menelea? As for the poll...perhaps Taricus is on the money, and Haspen will commission some fanart of the winner. Doubtful, but...
  • Enemy reinforcements. You don't seriously expect Haspen to give us a time limit and make it a good thing, do you?
  • ERROR: Humor module not found
  • Ta-da.
