Wait, why would Gregor be shocked like that? Surprised maybe, but not GASP-worthy. If anything, he would pester Olison about life in Berebia :P

I'm not totally stupid, you know :P

All meetups would be in public places and I wouldn't make or post any vacation plans until something was actually in place.

"Of course. I'll want to hear all about these undead that apparently actually exist. And, of course, how everyone is doing."

24784
"Er, sorry Charlotte. You looked like you really needed some sleep, so I didn't have the heart to wake you up..."

24785
That has indeed been the plan :D

But since I'm still in school (not even training yet), I'm holding off until such a thing can actually become feasible.

24786
"Indeed. Keep your sword and wits sharp, okay?"

Just about everywhere, from the sound of it. I'll be doing over-the-road trucking, which means I'll go wherever the cargo does. I'll have the ability to pick when and where I want days off, so I'm thinking of having informal Bay 12 meet-ups all across the States.

Exactly. The Crest will still be used, so no shenanigans there.

@ FFS and Haspen: Okay, that works too. I just like the story justification for the promotion too much to pass up.

24790
Can I promote storywise with the knights crest? Send an NPC  to find Gregor and give him his father's shield. BAM, perfect justification for fancy new shield.

Quote
1: Character Name: Gregor von Hexham
2: Promotion or Level Up?: Level up. Saving Knight's Crest for another time
3: Supports: Charlotte A, Alexander C
4. Weapon Procurement: None
This is, of course, dependent on FFS and Power Miner agreeing to the supports.

You want these posted in the thread or PM'd to you?

((Yo Mego! The Distant Advantage feat allows me to gain combat advantage with ranged attacks as long as the enemy is flanked. It doesn't say I need to flank them, at least not if I'm reading it correctly; kinda hard to flank with ranged attacks.))

((It is hard to flank with ranged attacks - that's the point of the feat. There's an image in PHB1, under Combat, that explains flanking pretty well.))
((Lemme quote the text for Distant Advantage:
You gain combat advantage for ranged or area attacks against any enemy flanked by your allies.
Emphasis added by me. I don't need to be flanking, two or more of my allies need to be flanking.))

I've decided that 'let's join Royal Guard' group is the group that I will follow through Intermission and I will concentrate narrative on it.

The rest of PC's will rejoin shortly into the next 'half' of the game (possibly within a chapter, maximum 2).

You sure you still want to do that, considering it looks like it's only going to be about three people? :P To be honest though, I think more people are going for the other option since it sounds less boring. I mean... Royal Guard is "you spend six months learning patrol routes, taking orders, doing menial tasks, and guarding the palace" as opposed to "six months going on adventures in the Forsaken lands, killing undead, uncovering loot, and exploring ruins". :P
Except, you know, none of that is likely to happen (except for the undead-fighting). Otherwise Haspen will either have to punish anyone who doesn't go by making them fall behind (and thus, be less useful post-timeskip), or arbitrarily give them bonuses to match whatever your group finds. The end result, assuming Haspen wants to maintain balance, is exactly the same.

In unrelated news, still phoneposting. Half the hotel is still without power, and part of that half apparently includes whatever WiFi system they use.
