I was waiting for someone to make a silly Obama joke

Current sad: Had to wake up at 5 am today. To my Pacific time-addled brain, this translates into 3 am ;_;

THERE. Hope you're happy FFS, it's the only way I can think of to not throw either of Gregor's loyalties away on a mid-battle surprise question.

I've been struggling to write Gregor's response for several minutes now. It's a tough call to make, IC and OOC.

Well, maybe not OOC. Obviously Gregor will be going with the group for the foreseeable future, otherwise he'd be dropped out of the game and that would be boring.

But IC, he's currently caught between two conflicting wishes: one is to stick with Charlotte, who he's only known for a week or two but has growing feelings for. The other is 18 years of being taught to toe the line and follow orders.

Weston grabbed the raging thief by the shoulders while Honor hissed, her fur standing up on end.

"Pull yourself together, man!"

Intimidate roll?

"Can't say exactly. It was only ever a very minor cult, though I believe they were pantheistic. I think one of the primary gods was called Sparkle of the Twilight, or something along those lines."

"Ah, I should have known. Kyle here seems to subscribe to a minor cult formed in the early 2010s, based around the power of friendship. What was it called...Bronyism? I can't remember exactly..."

(Sorry, I thought I was using navy and somehow failed to notice it said purple.)
"My name is, again, Jarvert not kid. Besides the less we think of horrifying monsters tearing us apart limb from limb the better. So, Subzero how does your magic work, and is friendship actually a big part of magic?

"Y'know, that's a good question" Weston said, choosing to ignore being called "Subzero". "My powers just kinda slowly developed over a period of months. I looked up whatever I could to try and figure things out, but most books on magic are obvious works of fiction. I can't say I noticed friendship having any effect on my abilities."

Weston shrugged, ignoring Honor's glare.

"Kid here might speak before he thinks sometimes, but he's right that we have to stay loose in a situation like this. Idle banter is as good a way as any to get the job done."
