It was just so unexpected, is all. The online version didn't include the warning, so when the dude didn't simply fall over but freaking exploded it was quite shocking.

Okay, since when did Star Trek show exploding heads and alien creatures ripping out people's torsos?
Just saw TNG's Conspiracy. Good lord O_O

Weston chuckled.

"And that's exactly why I keep my distance. I'm not the brawling type, though I admit I've cracked a few skulls with this when needed." He held up his quarterstaff.

"Besides, I said I hope they have better equipment and soldiers. If they hope to fight magic-users, they'll need more than rifles and knives wielded by low-will grunts like these."

Move to (23,13). STAB Rosecross with the Killer Lance! Invoke Critzocoatl!

Still gotta register for Selective Service, but the chance of an actual draft is exceedingly slim.

I've never understood why people go to such great lengths to avoid service in the military...
Also this. Why permanently maim yourself?

Oh wow. If Gregor crits Rosecross (30% chance with the Killer Lance), he's dead on the spot.

* Haspen makes note to start making much stronger enemies.
It wouldn't work if Rosecross wasn't a mounted unit. That extra +5 damage makes all the difference.

In other news, I need to check the map before I make statements like these. Dude's dismounted, so no extra damage. He'll live - barely >.<

"Whatever they have in reserve, I hope its better than what they showed us here. My powers are still fairly low-leveled, and they had virtually no defense against them."

Weston shrugs. "Good thing I'm not the type to turn on my employers."

In other words, if you want to try to talk him down, do it fast.

I'll pass. I think the nearest hospital is about 30 miles away >_>

25017
Sorry to be a pain, but wasn't Sirus making some map sprites(I just want to Ami and Tenebra looking awesome)
You're not promoted yet :P

And Rosecross is apparently going into his "me noble so me superior" mode. We might be able to knock him out of it and talk again, but I'm not hopeful.

25018
I'm torn between running up and taking out a third of Rosecross' health, or just sitting still to give peace a chance.
Feel free to run up. If Gregor crits after Riven weakens him, he's dead. Even if no crit, he'll be hurting plenty.

Spoiler: TNG Spoiler (click to show/hide)
Was that the half-Klingon junior officer?
Um. I don't think so.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Though it did give Data a pretty damn awesome line:
Quote
Data: "You are capable of great sadism and cruelty. Interesting. No redeeming qualities."
Armus: "So, what do you think?"
Data: "I think you should be destroyed."

To be fair, Taricus' frequent "hurr your gonna screw up" comments annoy me as well. Not sure I'd rage at them, but they are irritating.
