I say wait. If Ami goes down, she'll need a vulnerary, and then she can use her staff to heal Olison.
Maybe I missed something, but why aren't you riding your mounts (except Seyena, who could ride with Olison or Ami) to the entrance of the drain and dismounting there? Not only would you get there faster, but the "rescued" units would be safe from damage.

They can each take two hits. Gregor's HP isn't THAT high compared to the rest. After they reach safety, Ami can use her staff and the rest can share vulneraries with her.
Add in the fact that Gregor was unlucky to get hit twice, and some of them might make it through with no hits at all.

Use a vulnerary. Attempt to sneak up the stairway. Stop and go back if Gregor hears suspicious noises or sees light.
