Hell, I've seen worse official translationsAnd yeah, the touhoumon stuff is tame, at least the romhacks of it I've seen (most of the english ones, so far). Mind you, there is absolutely bonkers amounts of illicit touhou material, but that particular adaptation isn't among it.It's still sort of creepy that you're essentially pit-fighting with feral children you've shut into pocket dimensions, but if you have a problem with that and not the original games there's a substantial degree of hypocrisy to be explored. Personally I just (in all pokemon games and hacks) act as if it's a traditional jRPG and the rest of the party is folded into the player sprite while walking around. Except the PETA pokemon game, of course.
Though I wouldn't call the english translations 'tame'; they're positively atrocious.

It sucked because it made me realize I had more nightmares than actually good dreams, but as I got older I remembered them less and less until I never do anymore. Doesn't bother me though, gets tiring waking up in a jolt due to a nightmare. Remembering dreams isn't always fun.
