I don't want to "be rid of" my character - I think Gregor's a cool guy. I'm just planning ahead because FE can be extremely deadly. Hell, I think we all would have died at least once by now (with the obvious exception of the characters belonging to Powder, IronyOwl, and Culise) if this were one of the video games.

That was my second choice, to be honest, if I somehow missed out on the monk/nun. I guess (great?) minds think alike :P
Of course, it'll be good to have some sheets prepared for this game...just in case something happens.

Still not 100% sure on that one myself.

I won't care much either way, but I remember that some people really wanted it one way or the other.

I'm really hoping they don't limit character slots, or at least not very much. In games like these I tend to want at least one character of each species, just so I can try them all out.

I could link TVTropes here, but I won't. Suffice to say that it's really not surprising to me that even gaseous sentient creatures have certain curves :P

You guys don't have to disown me now. The power of RAWK convinced to forgo my evil ways.
...for now.

I noticed something that made me very happy today.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

UPDATE: Stretch Goal achieved! They're a goin' in game at launch!

Seems like it :P
They look pretty cool. I like the whole Western aesthetic.

So basically 3D printing, but they use magical transporter technology instead of a series of tubes.
Seems like a combination of teleportation and alchemy. Obviously you can't make an edible meal out of, say, plastic unless you transmute it into digestible molecules.

Ah, okay. Still way beyond our capabilities, but slightly less so than "infinite matter made from energy".

Aside from how kids that young should probably not be handling guns...
with any luck they'll learn how to be safe around them and not accidentally shoot anyone. Hopefully.

Don't count on it.  There have been two news stories here about certified gun handlers accidentally shooting themselves (one during a safety demonstration...)
Note the "with any luck" and the "hopefully" :P

But I mean, I've handled guns before and been around people that regularly handle guns before. While it's an admittedly small sample size, none of them have shot themselves, shot someone else, or accidentally discharged a shot where it could have hurt someone.

I don't see it as any different than the replicators on star trek.

Yeah, this line of thought kinda needs to die.

The thing about food printing is that the printer needs food to print.
Presumably star trek replicators need a base material to work with, too.

I'm not saying "lol printed meat is more humane than regular" or anything silly like that. Just that any reservations that concern printed food's "artificialness" would be equally applicable to things like star trek's replicators.
I was under the impression that replicators made matter directly from energy.

I found a pretty cool basic-level spell: Spider Silk + Rock + Crystal Ball. Goes through walls, homes in on enemies, and the trail from the string can be murder. The trick is to aim the spell so that it orbits the enemy rather than hit it directly.
Picked up the D-rank Spider Silk. Fired it towards (but not directly at) a 500HP training dummy. The thing orbited around so much that it killed 3 of them before dissipating. 1,500+ damage in a very early-level spell seems pretty impressive to me.

Gregor equips the Javelin if it somehow wasn't already equipped. Daniel does nothing this turn.
