Weird-ass Spring Break.

Terrible allergies. An alternator which caught fire, and the manual replacement of said alternator rather than going to a shop. Two of the biggest (and most awesome) thunder storms I've ever seen. And an utter neglect of Bay 12.

So yeah. I'm almost looking forward to going back to school if it means that things will settle down a bit.

Making new plans for the future!

Whether or not those plans will pan out is still up in the air. But it feels good to try and break out of the slump I've been in.

The rendezvousing craft is already on course. In about ten minutes game-time, it will be within 4km of the station core <_<
After that it might never meet up again.

Chalk it up to en earlier refusal to use mods :P

Zeno Clash II is available for pre-order now. Don't really know anything about it, but it seems like there's a whole lot of new combat techniques and even co-op.

Huh, I was just thinking about bringing up STO in this thread :o

I got into it again over Spring Break and so far I'm having a blast. Ground combat is still nothing to write home about, but space combat is crazy fun and actually tactical, especially once you start leveling up your bridge officers and have a huge variety of abilities to work with. I'm currently rolling around in a Science Vessel and I'm thinking of sticking with it when I rank up; strong shields and being able to target enemy subsystems more than makes up for a relative lack of firepower for me. Plus it's got a transparent sphere made of hexagonal shields. How cool is that?

Two things happened when I fired up Half-Life 2 for some good old-nostalgic fun that I've never experienced before.

The first happened while driving along the old coast road. I was checking a two-story house when I turned a corner and the screen turned bright yellow, followed immediately by red. As I lay dieing on the floor, I notice a poison headcrab and poison zombie not three inches away. So far as I can tell, the zombie threw the headcrab at me, bringing me down to 1 HP, before immediately clawing me. Never been killed by one of them before.

The second occured in Nova Prospekt. Alyx ran ahead and got caught in the simultaneous point-blank crossfire of four Overwatch soldiers and died in about two seconds, resulting in a Game Over. I didn't even know Alyx could die  :o

Now it's going to be a voice-controlled fighting game. Should be more awesome this way. Whale Man is thrilled.
I wouldn't want to play single-player that way because the computer would probably be able to react too quickly. Should be fun for an eventual multiplayer version though.

EDIT: HERPA DERP I just realized what was going on. Goddammit Wolfire, goddammit BigD.

If I were to install MechJeb, would it work on my existing save file? I have a ship enroute to my station core (an orange fuel tank, lights, crew, antennae, and additional batteries and solar power), but I can't quite get the rendezvous to work correctly. Would I have to start everything over again?

The enemies seemed understandably hesitant to come within range of Gergor's lance. A quick check over his shoulder revealed that everyone who was heading inside had already done so, leading Gregor to rush into the windmill.

Move to (13, 7)

New Epic Rap Battle is a good one :D
I like how one of the top comments is a virus porn advert :P

The problem is that the creationists (or "intelligent design-sts") want the stuff taught in a science classroom. Considering the lack of evidence so far regarding any sort of intelligent design, it's not an appropriate venue.

At least, that's the way I understand it.

27838
I never got intelligent design. Are they saying something intentionally sparked evolution, or that it doesn't happen at all? Because if they're saying it doesn't happen at all I think I give up on the human race.
Depends on who you're talking to. Some think that an intelligence started the whole thing but let it run. Others think that an intelligence guided every step of the process, or that individual creatures and plants kinda "decided" to grow lungs or legs. And then there are the hardcore crowd who think that everything was created "as is".

Yeah, I was referring to the Atlantis thing.
