You presented exactly one statement that could be taken any number of innocent ways and heavily implied that it was sexist. Hell yes that's illogical. More than that, it scans just like any number of overly-hysterical things that one can read on the Internet any day of the week. "Politician X wants to decrease military spending! OMG He's a terrorist-loving hippie commie traitor!"

And note that at NO POINT did I say that you shouldn't go to graduate school. Go ahead, and best of luck to ya. All I ever said was that perhaps this teacher thought that it wouldn't be the right choice for you.

Hard, costly, time-consuming, AND provides nothing anywhere near approaching a guarantee that you won't end up homeless or working behind the counter of a McDonald's for the rest of your life anyway. Look at RedKing for an example.

The graduate student teaching me seems to like it well enough.  I know what a half-dead mathematician looks like, and that he isn't.
Different strokes for different folks. He might enjoy the stress, or maybe doesn't have to worry as much about money. Do you?

By the way, did you actually read that article?  What it says is "maybe it's too hard for you or you'd rather have money."
I'm wondering if you read it, honestly. Being too hard or expensive were only two of the reasons not to go, which leaves 13 more reasons that you haven't even touched on.

I thought I was paying this guy to inspire me, not let me know that graduate school might just be a bit too difficult or stressful for little old me.  Or that I just don't care enough about math, aww.
A teacher is being paid to teach you. Nothing more, nothing less. Whether you go or not, whether you succeed or not...irrelevant.

Here's the question: what is the element that differentiates him from me?  He barely knows me.  There's something that he's picking up on that means I am not "a person who might want to go to graduate school" and he is.  Hmmm, what could it possibly be?
Just a few guesses: Age. Life experience. Actually working in the field. The fact that he's been through this already and has probably seen more than a few people drop out, including ones that he thought would make it.

Oh wait, there I go using logic again. Clearly the only real possibility is that he's sexist. I don't know what I was thinking.

What sort of chemicals? Could I deliver a fine-tuned plague that would eliminate all sentient alien life on a planet while not effecting humans in the slightest? What about delivering toxins to enemy ships, murdering the crew while leaving the ships mostly intact for salvage?

I'm pretty positive about this. Hopefully we'll get some in-game footage before long.

Oh, and thanks for the new wallpaper :D

Actually, I'm pretty sure Daniel's the most useful at this moment. I'm pretty sure he has better odds for dodging, plus has a weapon triangle advantage over the most dangerous one. Charlotte wouldn't even be able to counter-attack right now.

28327
Move to (6,12)

: "Charlotte...Daniel...please hold on as long as you can!"

28328
Oh, don't get in a snit Darvi. Maybe we can figure something out, work the numbers a little.

If Ami heals Dani, he's got the best odds of dodging an attack or two, with an advantage over the bandit and toe-to-toe with the swordsman. If he dodges one attack, the other enemy will either have to leave him standing to attack Ami or also attempt a hit. If he dodges two attacks, or somehow survives the second hit, he can use a vulnerary on Charlotte to get her up as well, or Ami if both bandits go for her. It's actually possible (even if the odds are against it) to have everyone on their feet by next the next turn. Even if this doesn't happen, at least the death counters reset and give rescuers more time to arrive.

On the other hand, if Ami runs, the bandits will follow and a rescue team will have to cut through them, virtually guaranteeing two deaths. I say Ami heals Daniel.

EDIT: Oh goddammit scapheap, take that move back or we lose two people for sure.

28329
Looking at it logically, Greg's the closest one that can cause damage or take more than one hit. Assuming nothing gets in his way at all (as in, the two enemies don't move), he'll just barely make it in time to rescue one of them.

If Ami heals one, one bandit will take out Ami and the other will probably re-down the healee.

Does anyone have a MOV higher than four?

28330
Welp, they're probably dead.

scapheap, if you could have Ami retreat while shouting for help?

I want missiles that can deliver player-designed biotoxins and plagues onto planets. As the technology for the plagues gets more advanced, they can be tailored for individual species so you can sterilize an enemy planet without touching the infrastructure or dealing with radiation later.

Please don't tell me this died in the last couple of days :o

Do nothing!

This actually makes youtube run really fast.

What the hell?! That's awesome, though.
I assume you've tried it? I'm hesitant about messing around with CL prompts for fear of accidentally my everything :P

Yeah; if you notice, he even provides a couple of rollback commands.
Hmm. Doesn't seem to be doing anything, but at least nothing appears to be broken.
