It triggered a major backlash and the rise of fundamentalism in politics. Without the focus of the Vietnam war, and with many of the symbols of the movement made outright illegal, it lost it's focus and unity and broke apart into factions that no longer had the strength to resist the counter-push.

Hold up for a second, what symbols have been made illegal here exactly?

I'm not on a computer with the handbook right now, but could Gregor wield an Iron Lance at his current stats without a penalty? I know his STR and SPD have been improving fairly well.

So can we take an Iron weapon as well as keeping the lightweight version, or do we have to switch/keep what we have?

Ok fair, it had 256 pixel resolution, was black and white, and required you to carry a 10 kg computer all the time, but it worked.

I think those were simply laboratory prototypes. Checking the article, it looks like the system (or something similar, at least) is now available to the public...or at least, to anyone who can fork over $150,000. It's actually a pretty big step forward.

Wasn't my ownage, but the ownage of one of my units. Poor Boyd was underleveled due to a lack of action in recent missions and a lack of spearmen in the missions he actually took part in. Not so this time! I stuck him in a crucial chokepoint and let waves of lancers kill themselves on the blade of his axe. He actually gained three levels in a single turn, and the damage he took was nothing the resident White Mage couldn't fix up.
