It didn't help that Crystal Star was the first EU novel I read (at a fairly young age, too!), which led me to all sorts of WTFs :P

"Han and Leia got married? They have three kids? There's more Jedi now? Why is Leia sneaking around in disguise and stuff?"

And so on.

Nah, I'm limiting myself to 60% (which combined with my over-50 Stealth, is still pretty damned good). Maybe if I were making a stealth-oriented character I'd give it a shot, but I'm supposedly a mage :P

I've never read the Yuuzhan Vong books either  :'(

The local library only has three things: the Thrawn trilogy (which I own), one or two New Jedi Order books that seem to be all about the Solo kids, and the first book of the Sun Crusher trilogy (I own the whole thing). I own the Crystal Star and the first book of the duology where Thrawn "returns", as well as some reference books like the Chronology, which is my only other real-life source of Star Wars data.

No I didn't! They're not at the library or the bookstore! D:

I mean, I suppose I could find them online, but...

Ah. I've never read those books, and never saw anything referencing Horn's abilities :P
(I know who the character is, though.)

I've...never heard of that. Where was that from?

A lot like Jedi, really. Some of them channel the Force in order to become nigh-unstoppable warriors. Others read minds in order to spy. Others can influence the actions of other people with varying degrees of subtlety. Don't forget that the Emperor was powerful enough to significantly bolster the effectiveness of pretty much his entire fleet without any sign of external effort.

We can assume that a power weapon and a lightsaber would stop each other, as they both do basically the same thing (energy cuts through anything but is stopped by other energy).

Who knows. Maybe the Force is really just the way pskyer powers manifest in SW. Obviously there wouldn't be too much looking into it for other purposes, seeing as how they already have better FTL. But think about the Imperials' (40K) reaction.
Come to think of it, the Force has been used on more than one occasion as a navigational aid...

Sort of makes you wonder what kind of crackpot ideas far-future archaeologists would come up with upon finding abstract or surrealist art, assuming any survives.

"And over in this exhibit, we have an alter to the Goddess of Porcelain along with a mannequin in the traditional pose! This minor cult, established in the mid-twentieth century CE, worshiped the sterility of porcelain as a counter to the dirty atmospheric conditions of the time. Advocates would consume large quantities of alcoholic beverages before purging themselves, cleansing themselves of their sins and taking comfort in the knowledge that the Goddess would wash them all away."

(Yeah, I know. That was the only part of the conspiracy theory I could focus on :P )

With no warp powers, that means no FTL travel. Thus, the 40k fleet would lose in the long term, as SW fleets can simply jump away for reinforcement and repair. Would be interesting to see how long the 40k fleet would last, though.

Death Star (the ship-attacking one, but finished) in 40k.
Alternately, the Sun Crusher and its invincible armor.
Didn't we do this already?

Sirus? You may want to fix your personal skill. That isn't one of the effects allowed for them.
The ones in the player's handbook are just suggestions, not the end-all-be-all of personal skills. Of course, if Haspen wants me to change it I'll do so.

The following chart can be a stepping stone in determining Personal Skills and Faults. Players are
encouraged to run by even more personalized skills or faults past the GM, but running all skills and
faults off the following charts is not discouraged.

Out of curiosity, how did you get polearms? Some sort of spear mod?
