I know at least one of those guys were involved in a short LP of JFK: Reloaded. Might have been all of them, but I can't remember the name of the website. Something about astronauts.

Anyway, that was hilarious.
Probably Freelance Astronauts. Though, I don't think any of the guys I mentioned were in that one. :P
Really? Aw man, I could have sworn they were involved.

Okay, who linked to the Pokemon Vietnamese Crystal LP? Because you'll be receiving my medical bills in the mail, good sir or madam! My sides have split open and I think I've popped a lung, and it's only the first episode!

Is it wrong that when I saw "DC" I thought "Deceased Crab"?

Possible Yoda movie.

So we're basically going to be seeing a second Expanded Universe, except with generically shit films instead of novels of varying quality?
It's a little early to be making judgements, isn't it?

Oh, and this:

just the latest rumor to come out of a galaxy far, far away (well, not that far anymore -- it's now at Disneyland, after all).
They've had a Star Wars ride at Disneyland for decades...where has this writer been?

I'd suggest kurtjmac (who's walking to the very world generation limit for charity), but I'm not sure how much Minecraft he actually does anymore. He tends to talk about whatever is going on in the astronomy world.

Astronomy and Minecraft-grinding for charity? Maybe there is hope.

One of the reasons I hate LPers for just about every game I own (except Starcraft II, which I am terrible at and that many people play professionally) is that they are worse at the game than I am. This goes double for Minecraft. I've played it enough that I know exactly what I'm doing, whatever it may be, in that game. And yet a lot of LPers are just blatantly terrible at the game they are demonstrating.

I realize the value of an LP lies mostly in whatever vaguely witty things the host(s) ha(s/ve) to say... but that part doesn't work that great.
You could also check out direwolf and 2girls1minecraft. Both of those channels are still heavily Minecraft-based (unlike kurt, who also does a lot of Kerbal Space Program and other space sims) and they do a lot of mod tutorials.

Eh, didn't he supposedly live to over 900(0?!)? That's a bit of a stretch for our current medical technology, even with proper nutrition and exercise. Then again, as previously mentioned the technology is getting better all the time.

Additionally I haven't been able to find an emulator for the Advance, so Gen III is completely out.

Literally the second/third result.

You're talking about Visual Boy Advance, right? I looked into that and thought that it only had netplay over LAN/simultaneous play. I could be wrong though.

EDIT: Whoops. You're right. Never mind then.
I'm not very network-savy, but is TCP/IP over the Internet? There's also the ability to connect to certain IP addresses and servers.

Still... that's a nasty cliffhanger to leave us on! What happened?!
You'll have to wait for THE NEXT UPDATE! Mwahahahahahaha!

...

Which is right now.

Part 9: Petalburg Woods

"CHAMP! Champ, say something, buddy!"
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
The Zigzagoon and the strange lady had identical looks of bloodlust on their faces. I had no idea who this woman was or where she got such a terrible Pokemon, but I was determined to see her defeated.

I sent out Genji. While he grabbed the two in his mighty claws, I ran back to town to grab the local police.

Turns out the woman was wanted in connection with an unsolved murder case in the Unova region. They took her and her rabid Pokemon away, and I got a small amount of reward money. More importantly, however, my team got a well-earned night's rest.

***

The next day, we went back to the entrance of the dense forest. I had no idea what awaited me, but I had to press onwards. Rustboro City would be on the other side (assuming I was reading the map correctly), and there I could finally begin my badge hunt.

A sign inside proclaimed the area to be the "Petalburg Woods". There were plenty of trainers around, but I wasn't very worried. What I really wanted was more Pokemon!

Whoa. This thing looks cool :o

It breaths fire AND poison! Thankfully, Nina didn't seem affected by the latter very much. She kept scratching at it until it hid inside it's shell, allowing me to catch it!

Meet the newest member of the team! We've now got a full six-Pokemon party; things are looking up!

She immediately proved her worth by annihilating an entire party of Bug Pokemon single-handedly.

Lots of rocky Pokemon around here. Aside from Tara and other Torkoal, there are also several of these "Geodudes" as well as a larger four-armed version which appears to be the next evolutionary step. Unfortunately, the only one in my party who can reliably do damage to them is Genji, so he sees a lot of action.

Hm? What's this?

To be continued...

The Starter Pokemon choices.
The Wild Pokemon you encounter in grass, caves and other places.
The Pokemon that Trainers use against you.
The base stats which define the potential of each Pokemon.
The elemental types of each Pokemon.
The abilities of each Pokemon, in games where they exist.
The moves that Pokemon learn by gaining levels.
The contents of each TM which can be taught to Pokemon to give them additional moves (HM moves are not changed to make sure you can still beat the game)
The ability of each Pokemon to learn each TM or HM move.
The "static" Pokemon which you either are given, fight on the overworld, or are sold.
The names of trainers & the classes they belong in.
The moves taught by move tutors, for games within which they are significant enough.
It can change a lot.   :o

These include changing evolutions which require trading to no longer require trading (so you can obtain powerful Pokemon) and giving you the National Dex at the start of the game to allow you to look up Pokemon that were not intended to be available at the start of the original game.
The best part is that all of these can be enabled or disabled essentially at will, so if you want random Trainer names but not random Pokemon types, you can easily do this.

A little digging and I found this http://pokehacks.dabomstew.com/randomizer/ a Universal Pokemon Game Randomizer.
This is great! If I get a Game Over on my LP, I can continue the story :D
