Part 8: The Mighty Route

So...Route 104. Maybe I'll find some strong Pokemon here.

You don't look very strong :(

He paralyzed Nina and took two Pokeballs to catch, but did nothing else the entire battle. I dunno about this one, but he was the first one I found.

Aw, why couldn't I have found something like this?!

Or THIS?!

Okay, now this route is just making fun of me :I

...I have no words.

Even though Wattson has no damage-dealing moves, he's still pretty useful. By sending him out first each battle, I can paralyze opponents - greatly slowing them down - and he gains experience! Hopefully he'll soon have some actual attacks.

Stupid one Pokemon per route rule...

I took out my frustrations on a trainer running around in circles. He had this unusual thing, probably the strongest non-wild Pokemon I've seen yet.

AGH!

As a result of the battle against the vengeful seed from Hell, Lady learned how to confuse enemies with super-sonic waves! Hurray!

A fisherman sent this thing out to fight me. Or maybe he wanted me to gut it for dinner. I'm not entirely sure :(

Near the entrance to a dark forest, a pretty lady in a green dress challenged me to a battle. She was saying we were "destined" to meet and that "at least one Pokemon will not be walking away from this". She sent out a Zigzagoon that sent chills down my spine with its soulless eyes. It badly injured Wattson after he paralyzed it, and just stood there as Champ tackled it again and again. Just when I thought it was over, the lady pulled out a potion that not only healed the Zigzagoon's wounds, but also cured its paralysis! I quickly had Wattson do another Thunder Wave and began the process of having Champ grind it down once more, when suddenly it grinned maniacally and leapt forward!

I'm a fan of NerdCubed, TotalHalibut/Biscuit, and Jesse Cox, personally. I know the first two don't really do LPs per se, but they're funny AND British!

Must be nice to have so much money that you can decline a job because of "morals" that don't actually affect anyone in any way.
Morals are a rather nice quality to have, yes.
It isn't "moral" to refuse to work for someone who's opinion you don't agree with. Millions of people all over the world work for people they don't like or don't agree with.

Unless the contract states that Soli must become the channel owner's friend, give up indie gaming, or sacrifice his pet to the Flying Spaghetti Monster, he should make the stupid banners, take the money, and let that be the extent of the working relationship. If he's rich enough that he can refuse the job, good for him.

And this is why the police are fucking inept.
I'm not sure "inept" is the proper word here. This is way beyond inept O_O;

Watching the Colbert Report. Colbert is talking about a specific incident where a driver said, "I just realized I'm Jesus Christ and I can do whatever I want." He then proceeded to ram a man in between his car and another car. He got out and put a woman who was trying to help into a headlock.
Then magic happened. A homeless hitchhiker with a hatchet (Alliteration ftw) came in and... Hatchet'd the 'Jesus' guy. I am unsure if this means to death or just to unconsciousness. But still. First time in human history someone has said, "Man, I'm glad that homeless hitchhiker had a hatchet..."
Ah, Comedy Central, why you so good to me?
So THAT'S what people were talking about in the WTF thread...

Well gee, I just think it's a wee bit ridiculous to complain about a game that hasn't even hit beta yet looking unfinished. But hey, in my mind it just makes sense for stuff that isn't done yet to look unfinished.

God I love video game communities sometimes.  ::)

"WE'VE SEEN NOTHING BUT SCREENSHOTS AND ART! WHY NO VIDEO?! WHY NO IN-GAME FOOTAGE?! THIS GAME IS VAPOR AND WILL NEVER GO ANYWHERE!"

*in-game footage is released*

"IT LOOKS LIKE CRAP! WHY ONLY MECHANICS? WHY NOT SHOW WHOLE GAME? WHY LOOK UNFINISHED? THIS GAME IS VAPOR AND WILL NEVER GO ANYWHERE!"

About a year ago, I was taking C and had a huge problem with functions: their declarations, their headers, the pointers...you name it, I probably bitched in this thread about it. My mental block caused me to lose all enthusiasm for the class which led to my failing.

Now I'm taking the class again, and my block is gone so far! I honestly don't know how I could screw it up so thoroughly before, because this time it's all clicking. I even managed to complete a two-day assignment in a little under two hours :D

So yeah, just wanted to share the happies. Please continue your discussion :P

Holy shit this is an amazing little rhythm game! I get to relive so much musical nostalgia as well as experience alot of amazing new music set to a rhythm game where I click buttons and follow sliders and spin wheels. And there's so many! It's only limited by how many you can physically download and retain on your computer. I already love just looking for my favorite songs on their little database. This could get really addictive really fast.
Tonight I'm gonna have myself a real good time...
Is...is that some sort of indie EBA? Holyshitholyshitholyshitholyshit

Not every turn (because I'll never remember and after updates like these the stats will be utterly unchanged), but when someone requests it I don't see the harm :)

Natures are more visible and you can still worry about those if you want. :P
I don't! :D
