Is it just me, or does the concept of missing your own ship with your own bombs seem pretty idiotic? The one time I tried to use a heal bomb on my anti-boarding team (engaged in a battle in the cockpit, where the enemy boarded and I couldn't vent without losing evasion), it missed and I had to retreat to and repair the medbay.

Also, the idea that the Zolton shield cannot prevent boarding events is idiotic. Let's take the weakest race in melee and throw a bunch of heavily armed dudes directly onto their ship through the supposedly impenetrable super-shield! Never mind that NO SHIP IN THE ENTIRE GAME can do this, it takes the one good strength the Zolton cruiser has and negates it entirely.

I...don't know. I have no idea what Strike Witches is :P

I'm just thinking that throwing the tankery team into real combat might end up with a bunch of cute dead girls. Seems like at least half the team is knocked out each match.

Are you talking about putting the GuP cast into actual warfare, or simply playing Tank-Fu against someone other than high-school girls?

Here's a crossover purely for the lulz:

Detective Conan meets Conan the Barbarian. Discuss.

I didn't mean to sound hostile or anything O.o;

Anyway, considering how the amount of damage can vary from shot to shot, I don't see any reason why a glancing, low-power hit might simply be deflected by a bit of flak or carapace. Once you get to higher armor tiers, it gets more and more likely that any particular shot simply gets absorbed.

...Because armor isn't guaranteed protection? You can still get shot and injured/killed while wearing a bullet-proof vest, you know.

I don't know the exact science behind it, but this article mentions how nearly 60% of the tested vests failed to stop at least 6 rounds.

Some of the graphical bugs are rather hilarious, though. Such as:
Also when aliens 'miss' your people yet several rounds ACTUALLY HIT YOUR DUDE.
That could be excused as your soldier's armor actually doing it's job: keeping the attack from doing damage.
But why would the armor protect the soldier only some times?
Same reason armor only protects some of the times in real life?

Its funny, I've never had a man get killed by a chrysallid on any playthrough ever. Even the Impossible ones.
I was the same way. Then my entire squad was killed by them in a single mission :P

My 20-pound cat decided that attempting to balance on my resting arm and sit on it would be a awesome use of his time.
Have you thought about taking up the ancient art of cat punting?

I feel like I'm missing an in-joke involving Dittos. Can someone clear up why naming mons after stats is unethical, or why you would catch Dittos in one version just to transfer them to another?

Looks like yet another reason to get a 3DS. Good grief, there have been several of those lately...

This conversation has the potential to go horribly wrong if y'all aren't careful.

I'm going to tell someone with pull once the sun comes up.
Honestly, that's probably the best thing to do in the Real World. With luck, you'll get someone who'll stick up for you and figure out a way to make everyone reasonably happy.
