I just had alot of fun with a really controversial assasination simulator.
It wasent really the target, dont really have opinions on presidents, but rather the ballistics.
That game was cool. Rather harsh though.

OH! JFK reloaded! Yeah that's fun to play with. Especially trying to do derpy things like making the convoy wreck itself or shooting Jackies hat off without killing her dead.

I need to see if I can find that again
I remember hearing about mods that add a crowd of bystanders or other zany things. If I ever get JFK Reloaded again, I should try to find some of those.

XCOM + Mass Effect.
Brilliant.

Alternatively, Mass Effect vs Star Trek vs Star Wars. Which massive-universe space opera will come out on top?!

Hell, except for the Necrons and Tyranids, everyone has some sort of flame weapon, often the most common support weapon for basic infantry. And for the two above, Necrons have gauss flayers (rip targets apart on the atomic level) and are made of metal, while 'nids have a variety of acidic and bio-plasma "weapons".

So in other words:
The Thing < One branch of one faction of WH40k

Are the forums crapping out frequently for anyone else? I keep getting partial page loads and "server has timed out" errors, but I'm not sure if it's this library's network or the website itself.

Indeed. And trying to introduce anything but the most ridiculously OP'ed characters into it gets them ripped apart; I'm currently trying to figure out how various alien species would do in the setting.

Xenomorphs from Aliens fail in this 'verse. Because Tyranids.
Tyranids with acid blood. Dear God-Emperor, the ones that spit or shoot acid are bad enough.
Tyranids VS Zerg.

No survivors.
Tyranids have more (and heavier) ranged weapons, while still maintaining plenty of close-combat capability. I'd give them the edge over Zerg any day.

M3 Lees?

Hmmm. CIAPHAS CAIN, HERO OF THE IMPERIUM vs. CAPTAIN GORDON, DEFENDER OF EARTH. Who would win?
No one would win. The universe would implode first.

But I have one very specific man in mind:
CIAPHAS CAIN, THE HERO OF THE IMPERIUM!
As much as I brofist you on the Cain love, dude's also pretty much not what you'd call a good guy (even if you give that th'writings related to him are highly self-depreciating), nor is he even remotely working for good guys :P

He's sorta' working for the humans that want to remain sorta' humans, but that's about the best you can give th'poor fellow. Grim dark future, mang. WH40k doesn't even really have an isolationist faction, iirc. Just lots of bad guys, some of which are moderately not as bad as others (on some days of the week).
WHAT?! You blasphemer! You HERETIC.

Ciaphas Cain may not be a Hero, but he is heroic. I don't care how much you talk about how afraid you are, anyone that sword fights a Beserker of Khorne is fucking heroic as all hell.

Also, he sleeps with an Inquisitor. Which, admittedly, is irrelevant to my point, but totally awesome.
Two Berserkers of Khorne. Plus a genestealer patriarch, a hive tyrant, a (mostly) invisible cultist, an Ork warboss, and let's not forget a Chaos Warmaster.

I'm not even gonna touch on his romantic escapades :P

Hmm...perhaps it's because I've been watching House lately, but could there be some sort of mold or pest in your kid's room? Potential sources of radiation or fumes? Maybe he's having a bad reaction to something if it ONLY happens in one specific room.

Don't know if it was added by Infinite Space or if it's vanilla, but I just ran across a slug-whatever who asked how many moons were in the system. Needless to say, I failed to read the necessary fluff and failed the question. He snuck aboard my ship and stole stuff. Half my fuel, some of my missiles, all my scrap, and all + 1 of my drone parts. How do you even have -1 drone parts?
That's vanilla. I've had it happen before, but answered correctly. I believe he joins your crew if that happens.

Sounds like the kid's gonna need medication to control those. Seizures like that are not something to be taken lightly.
My sympathies, SG  :-\
