Today I learned that there are a huge amount of spambot accounts with 0 posts that all have a link to a spam site in their profile.

Some of them are particularly impressive, such as the iram series. It's a list of users named iram10201, iram10325, iram1035, iram1036, and so on. There are 111 iram accounts, with links to a ton of different sites in their profiles. They were all created from April 2012 to October 2012, and not one of them has a single post.

They are the lurking forum menace.
What you don't know is that Iam Iram.

We are all Iram, somtimes. Ther'es a bit of Iram in all of use.

We are Iram. We are more nomerous than you culd ever imagine.
Drunk posting, or imitating a spambot's less than stellar English?

I'm not sure what to do, I'm frantically asking for applications for fast food joints now. I thought of myself as above that kind of work before, but looking at it now, it doesn't seem so bad. Atleast it wouldn't be like this, I don't think.
Frankly, in this kind of job market, nobody is above anything. I used to think I'd be a game programmer, getting my name into some big blockbusters or being part of a successful indie team.

Now I'm applying to fast-food places and the like just as fast as I can, because the odds of even McDonald's or some other place accepting me are slim. Everyone around here wants experienced employees; NO ONE is hiring new people. Even the goddamn dishwashing jobs require eight to twelve months. If I don't find a job - and soon - I'll probably have to enlist in the armed services.

I can understand wanting to leave a crappy job, but at least stick it out until your first paycheck. See if things get any better, and if you do end up leaving at least you'll have some money.

Most definitely keeping an eye on this.

I wonder...that trailer showed multiple god/spirit/titan things. Do you think this game will be multiplayer, perhaps competitively? Or is it more likely that you'll switch between them during gameplay?

Eye contact's a bitch anyway. Have you ever tried to get your eyes to touch eachother? The bloody skull would get in the way anyway!
I am simultaneously amused and squicked.

@ Pnx: First step, get a different therapist-type person. If you can, check your mental health center's website and see which practitioner is most recommended. It's not a sure bet, but I'm guessing yours won't be high on the list.

Second, ditch your mom for those sessions, especially if she's part of whatever issues you're having. You need to be open and honest with your therapist, even if you're just venting frustrations. The best part is that your mom will not be able to (legally) find out what you discussed unless you yourself choose to tell her afterwards.

Yeah, I'm just reiterating what others have said. Just throwing my two cents and personal experience out there.

General Discussion / Re: The Dream Thread

Had a sort of waking dream this morning. I got to sleep in today, but forgot to adjust my alarm clock. When I got up to hit the snooze button, I spent a good minute trying to remember how to activate the clock's DreamGuardian system. Eventually I gave up and went back to bed, blearily rationalizing that the odds of dream thieves attacking me in the extra five minutes or so I'd be asleep were remote. It wasn't until much later that I realized how out of it I was.

"But teacher, ice is a liquid! It comes from water!"
Not as bad as the guy who said that glaciers aren't made of ice...they're made of frozen water instead.

The Lion King = Hamlet. Classic Shakespeare. Specifically why I thought we could only use series, not feature length films.
I'm pretty sure Hamlet didn't include anything about Hakuna Matata. Then again, it's been a few years since I read it...

Meh, I remember when signavatar was unique. Once everyone started using it became lame and annoying.
Japa: The SignAvatar hipster.

But a Defense II fires much more quickly than a Defense I. Unless both projectiles fly in at the exact same time, you've got good odds that the drone will shoot down both the blaster and the missile. When it comes to things like the final boss's triple missile weapon, a Defense II has a much better chance of negating the attack entirely.

Of course it's a bigger investment. That's the price of better defense, whether you're building shields, engines, or drones.

But onto more pleasant conversation. There was earlier talk of Taco Bell and KFC restaurants combined into one. My question is, why have they not combined any of their food into one; why am I not able to buy Kentucky Fried Tacos?
Well, I kinda doubt the lettuce and tomato or whatever would taste all that great...

Assuming you even get the pre-ignitor. I think I've only ever gotten it three times, and only once did I beat the game with it. It's ridiculously rare and I would never base my strategy around it.

So of course, in my last two runs I found it in stores in Sector 1 before I had the scrap to afford it. Seriously, two consecutive runs with the Mantis A, each time the first store I find has it, but I can't afford it.

Why attack drones? I'd much rather have defense drones to deal with those pesky missiles and boarding drones. Get a Defense II drone, and it'll shoot down just about anything!
