On the bright side, a rushed (but still good) game with missing content has been turned around by a well-funded sequel or expansion pack before, and could be here as well. Fallout 3 to Fallout New Vegas, for example. Hopefully we'll get a Terror from the Deep remake, as there's lots of potential there since the original didn't do very much with what it had.
Oh god, I can already hear the RAAAAAAGE if such a thing is announced  :-\

Canadians. Polite. Pfffffft. We're just as rude and asshole-ish as the rest of the world for the most part.
How can Canada be rude?  They have all those cute penguins over there.  You can't be rude when you have penguins.
Please be a joke :<

Calling him "delusional" might be a bit extreme :P

If his ideas are not backed by supporting evidence but he continues to push them, then that might be considered delusional. Otherwise, he's pushing an alternate hypothesis that, to my knowledge, has yet to be tested.

I once tried to set up a Space Hulk LP like this. It died fairly quickly after I realized that I didn't really know how to make maps :P

Isn't that the whole point of trading posts in games like those? O_o

Higher-level characters need common materials to craft the better materials for their high-level stuff. Thus they purchase the common materials from trading posts rather than gather the stuff themselves. Am I wrong?

Then again, I don't use SHIVs very much...

I think you are referring to that thing called, 'France'. :P And yeah, they are far from a not-warlike people. All humans are warlike, violent, and brutal. Some of them just forget these facts.
Tell  a Brit that their favorite football or rugby team sucks. If you're unlucky, you'll end up in the hospital :P

I'm not saying that something similar wouldn't happen in another country, I'm just saying that the British can be nasty too.

You could probably set up a tabletop game using MapTools or something similar. It'd be a major PITA though, and not all that pretty  :-\

What, are ya kidding? The Brits have their own berserk buttons, and woe to those who carelessly push them.

We humans can be touchy sometimes :P

The ability to make your own buildings and structures by gathering materials and dynamically placing them in the world, like a less-blocky Minecraft or Terraria.

i posted this earlier
here, have fun

i skimmed it and it doesn't seem to be very obtuse, though it's 5:30 am where i'm at and i don't feel like providing a tl;dr
You a physics major or something? I can readily admit that I can't really make heads nor tails of it.

What I am seeing, however, are a whole lot of "maybe"s, "could"s, and "possibly"s, without much in the way of hard data.

I don't mind evil rains so much - at least the snowing/raining dwarf blood (yes, in ALL THREE LOCATIONS) just caused minor unhappiness! But if I can turn off infinite undead, that'd be great :)

"The peasants are revolting!"
"Well, of COURSE they are. If they were clean, they wouldn't be peasants."

Learning stick shift.  I needn't say more.
Don't worry, you'll feel awesome once you get the hang of it.

No. No, no, no.

Somehow, I imagine that the Gaslamp devs want to include something other than an endless stream of Dwarf Fortress memes and references. Come up with some half-decent ideas.
