Turns out they are adaptations of a book.

http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Life_and_Adventures_of_Santa_Claus

I saw the stopmotion version too. IIRC Claus' "mom" was a fairy or somesuch, and the one who kept begging for the Cloak of Immortality.

I also remember thinking even back then, sheesh, what dicks, you'd think they wouldn't have waited for him to become as decrepit as humanly possible before making him live forever...
That was it! Damn, it's been a while since I've seen that.

ETA: And it's not like he stayed decrepit forever. I distinctly remember him claiming that he felt strong enough to wrestle something (a bear?) after becoming immortal.

Nah, he doesn't say any such thing. Granted, they don't show him AGAIN limping around the tree, but he pretty much just stands there saying "thanks for the mantle dude".

You can watch the whole thing here

Shitty 80's commercials and all ;)

(I'd point you to the edited version in YouTube, but you'd miss all the glorious crappy commercials)
I was talking about the animated version. Never seen the claymation version :P

Here it is, but I can't find an English version.

I'm going to be ships cook for six weeks on a sailboat to the Bahamas, leaving in two weeks. Hell yes.
That sounds like a bitchin experience.
No kidding! Is it a paying job? Any chance you can bring an assistant? :P
No, however free trip to the Bahamas and all that. Also, no. Sorry, Sirius. :P
Ah, well. Can't blame a guy for asking :P

Suddenly overwhelmingly depressed. Don't know why.

Feel like I'm very worried about something, but I don't know what.
Might be a premonition about bad things happening. Any history of psychic powers in your family?

Stalin's Singing Schoolgirls.  Ok I thought anime was weird.  Then I saw this.  Now anime is really weird.
Have you seen the rest of the anime yet? The rest is even weirder, but even more awesome :D

Well, since someone stole my job, I have to figure out something else <_<;

Editing.

Well, in real life we can tell quite a lot about other planets through observation and probes. Just pretend that you scientists gave you the intel :P

Gravity is quite a bit less, IIRC, so you won't need as much fuel to slow down/take off again. If you want an easy-ish landing, aim for the blue areas of Minmus; it's basically a frozen ocean, and thus very flat.

A few questions, if I may:

  • What is the tone of this game? Serious or comedic? On a scale from GRIMDARKNESS to Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy?
  • Are there any xenoforms in mind that we can be? May we draw from existing works, or do you have some samples?
  • What's the size of the ship? Are we the only crew, or are there "NPCs", and if so, how many?

Name: Adam Eisenhorn

Background Check: Born on the world of Devil's Reach, Dr. Eisenhorn attended the prestigious Tam University, majoring in medicine and becoming a general practitioner after years of schooling. Growing bored of treating civilians, he decided to take a job on an exploration vessel. Keep in mind that many events have multiple, randomly-chosen outcomes. So even if you get identical events, you might get radically different results.

In unrelated-but-awesome news, I beat the rebel flagship last night with the Bulwark (rock cruiser) and unlocked the mantis cruiser in the same run. Now I just need the Crystal cruiser...
