I didn't go to jail. Or prison. And I actually got a phone number from a woman. So. That was surprising, to say the least.
That....that....that is like the exact opposite of what is supposed to happen when you end up in court.

Was the woman a judge? If the woman was a judge I can explain this. If not, then you may be a latent psyker.

This woman was NOT a judge. I could explain it, but I'd prefer to go with the assumption that I'm a latent psyker.

And of course, in Civ IV you can be as aggressive in promoting Buddhism as anything else :D

And Special Giveaway.

Anyways, I've gotten PMs from most of the people who have signed up, but I'm still waiting on:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
This is just a friendly reminder that you have 23.5 hours from this post to send me a PM as to what you want.
I signed up for mongol's secret giveaway, actually. Take me off of the list, please :P

I've given in. I'm downloading Touhou. This might be a terrible idea.
Does remind me I need to get Touhou Labyrinth on this computer again, though... probably the fighting games, too. Maybe some of the other non-bullet hell touhou gaming stuff beyond those, too...
Give Jamestown a shot if you haven't already. Plenty of hell for your bullets, and the soundtrack is at least as good as any of the Touhou series.

I think I'm getting all the Touhous at once. The page says I'm getting 1 to 12.3, which is a lot of Touhous.
Can you PM me a link?

I'm having quite a lot of fun watching Girls und Panzer. Who'da thought that moe-girls driving around in WWII-era tanks and shooting at each other could be so entertaining?

What? Nine out of ten person's don't see the problem's with plural apostrophe's.
But the remaining one out of ten want to stab them repeatedly in the eyeballs.
You can stab our eye's. But you'll never take our freedom's!

Okay...I'll stop now :p

Even if the events described happened before the Cambrian Explosion, the Ark would still be way too small.

Hell, the Ark would barely be able to hold some cattle for 40 days.

Not if it was just two cattle.

Checkmate, atheists.
Two cattle and 40 days of food for them.
And water. Depending on the salinity of the mysterious disappearing flood waters, the ark may have been floating in brine.

There are a couple counters to that; IIRC, Darwin himself suggested that the animals on Noah's Ark were sort of "seeds" that eventually evolved into all the animals we see today.
Not in approx. 6,000 years, they couldn't. Besides, Darwin may have been a visionary but he didn't have access to all of the knowledge and technology we have today.

To compromise I will also put this here: http://news.yahoo.com/photos/life-sized-noah-s-ark-launches-slideshow/
The slideshow doesn't say, but I sincerely hope that this guy isn't trying to claim that two of every animal (six of each "clean" animal, IIRC) could fit on that thing. I bet a trip to the local zoo could disprove that.

Discuss it elsewhere. It isn't WTF-worthy because everything that can be said on the subject already has been.

My favorite law quote:

"The law, in its majestic equality, forbids the rich and the poor alike to sleep under bridges, to beg in the streets, and to steal bread."

I'm not exactly sure how relevant it is but I like hearing myself talk so I'm going to post it.
Wasn't that Truean's sig for a while? I know I've read it on this forum.
