Other Games / Re: Humble THQ Bundle
« on: December 11, 2012, 10:41:56 pm »
Just bought the bundle, gave most of the cash to THQ.

Really wishing that someone mentioned how the original games on the list were all under the same Steam key. I was planning on giving away some of the games and I'm not sure if the extra copies will appear in my inventory or not.

Too true. I'm somewhat thankful that I didn't really discover the IP until a few years ago. I don't care what it used to be like, I care what it's like now :P

On consideration, I really don't feel like getting into an argument about this. My viewpoints are somewhat opposed to yours and I doubt either of us can be convinced, so I'm gonna bow out before a flame war erupts.

Yarr.  I shouldn't have even replied like I did.  This isn't the place for it.  It's hard not to when it's the subject that I'm specifically upset about today.
Understandable. This is the RAAAAGE thread, after all.

Call it "American Election Megathread: Round Two!"

I don't want a death cult, I want a thought cult.

Yes, I am aware that is somewhat of a contradiction.

I'm guilty of that as well :(

Here's what I added to my list (it's on the first page):

Morrowind: GOTY
Neverwinter Nights: Diamond Edition
Temple of Elemental Evil.

More likely, any hypothetical mass protest would be met with "less lethal" weapons, like rubber bullets and tear gas. Despite what certain Bay Watchers like to claim, law enforcement personnel are not a faceless mass of psychopathic serial killers who gun down children for fun.

I had a point somewhere, but I think I lost it while making my example as absurd as possible.

Slept for 10 hours today.

Pros:  Sleep is healthy.  I probably needed it.
Cons:  I'm back at work now, and literally feel like I was just here 5 minutes ago.  The morale penalty leaves me feeling just as tired as if I'd slept 6 hours, and the amount of willpower it's going to take to work through that without getting in trouble is going to leave me feeling worse by the end of the day.

Remind me again why working class adults haven't risen up and overthrown this bullshit, to be replaced with a standard of life experience that's actually worth living?

Because the Justice department has guns.

Given that:  remind me again why it isn't widely recognized that we live as slaves?
Spoiler: Riiiiiiiiiiiight (click to show/hide)
Slaves. Totally.

Eh, to me the term "dakka" indicates some sort of rapid fire. My understanding is that plasma weapons are more single-shot (when they don't overheat and explode, that is).
You can rapid fire them. A plasma rifle holds about ten shots before it needs to be reloaded, but you can fire those shots as fast as you want.....it just means that the whole thing will explode.

Emperor forbid the Orks ever get them. They'll just believe they have unlimited ammo and don't explode.
What, are you kidding? They'd probably just explode more often. What kind of Ork doesn't find explosions hilarious?
Oh, I'm sure they would, but explosions are second to maintaining dakka. Ya can't go en' get ta shootan if er shoota splodes', ya git!
One more thing: I haven't come across any canon of fluff about this, but do plasma guns make a lot of noise? Remember that one of da most important things to an Ork is if his shoota or buggy makes enough noise!

You were saying, MSH? Sure, other Republicans are decrying him, but it looks like he has some support.

To be somewhat fair, if you had never seen the actual title for that song written down you might be forgiven for thinking "Dark Side of the Moon" was the actual title.

No, I'm totally not speaking from personal experience here <_<;
