Unless random.org has a preference for the word Brotato, I'm afraid you're out of luck :P

Steam's Alien Swarm game's pretty good.  Requires a minimum of 2 players to start a game, and games can have up to 4 players.
*facepalm*

I totally forgot about that. Nice bit of top-down shooting.

* Sirus delves into the depths of his gaming folder
Alright, I have a few suggestions:

  • Battle for Wesnoth: A FTP turn-based tactics game, sorta like Fire Emblem but with hex tiles. Several single-player campaigns and the ability to play online.
  • Elona: A rouguelike/RPG. While technically single-player, deaths and achievements are shown to other players worldwide, so you can compare events.
  • Any number of F2P MMOs. Personally, the two I've stuck with the longest are Star Trek Online and Champions Online. I give a slight edge to STO because space combat is awesome and the character creator, even without purchasing any cash store items, is quite powerful.
  • Finally, if you're willing to finangle and have some networking knowledge, some emulators for older games can simulate local multiplayer over the Internet. Results may vary hugely, it can lead to a whole lot of headache, and of course I am not suggesting that you break copyright law in any way (whew!), so this option may not be for you.

I take it you're looking for something Free to Play? Or are you willing to spend some cash, because I have some suggestions for both options.

I'll take your guys' word for it :P

(has never played a Disgaea game or anything else by NIS)

Just a teensie bit worried about the lack of a thief though...
My (admittedly brief) browsing of the wiki led me to believe that thieves were nearly useless in the first Disgaea. I take it that I'm mistaken?

The Star Ruler drawing is a little over 12 hours away. If you want it, better sign up now :D

What I mean is that I'm hoping that the Supreme Court backs up the Californian Court's decision. If the Supreme Court instead turns around and says "Nope, should have let the votes decide", then the anti-gay crowd here will get some fresh wind in their sails.

Sirus doesn't need Int, Gun damage is based solely on Hit. I'm significantly more worried about his SP (1?!?).

EDF Soldiers are unlocked once someone reaches Gun Mastery 30 so they're pretty up there in terms of class tier.
Yeah, something tells me he won't be unleashing super attacks of any description for a while. Still, with any luck he'll be able to deal decent damage just by shooting things.

Here's hoping that Prop 8 gets struck down on the national stage, not just in the state.

Whoa damn, Sirus is a physical tank. Highest HP and Def :o
Shame about his terrible Int though.

Dunno if guns are available from such an early stage, or if this is OP or not...

Name: Sirus
Class: EDF Soldier
Bio: Sirus was testing an experimental faster-than-light space ship when it (possibly) malfunctioned and he wound up in the Underworld! The poor guy is now working for demons in order to eat, and hope of returning home steadily fades.
Preferred Weapons: Guns

What sort of classes are available?
