"I was too smart for the system."
Wait what? Are you a British policeman or something?

Nah, just an academic. Or a will-be academic. Son of an academic.
And so Finland kicked you out? O_o

FTL is 60% off, how is it? I'm intrigued but it's been hard to get a feel for it.

If you like roguelikes, FTL is awesome. I've put a ton of time into that game, and there are still things I haven't unlocked.

It can be pretty brutal, though.
Understatement of the week right here.

That would be nice. Really want to give this thing a shot.

Good choices. :)

So. New DLC out. Has anyone given it a shot? Thoughts?

The only Might and Magic title I've ever played is Dark Messiah, which was a fun (if not super difficult) brawler kinda like Zeno Clash. Reading Hans's and Cass's posts, I'm feeling the urge to play more of them :o

Loaded up a mission in progress, only to immediately loose both of my Shermans. The first to a single, out-of-cover squad of grenadiers with a rocket launcher. The second to a Panzer which broke through my defenses to attack my base, slaying an entire full-health veteran engineer squad with a single shot. For some reason, and despite having a clear shot at the Panzer's rear armor, the Sherman refused to fire it's main gun and died. RAEG QUIT.

I spent a year or two shipping blood and products derived of. Does that count?

*TWACK*

Who's hungry?
I actually snorted with laughter at that. Bravo, Hans :D

Downloaded the 0.01 version, and I can't get it to run. Do you have any suggestions?

Pretty sure the word is "platypi". It's the best word because it has pi (or pie) in it :)

With the Heavy's danger zone perk, Suppression can actually affect multiple adjacent targets. Ridiculously useful in certain situations.

No one is afraid they'll crash that asteroid in Earth? Or the weapon potential of controlling a huge rock above our heads?
At least at this stage, it is unlikely that they will be retrieving an asteroid that could make it through the atmosphere. You need a rather large rock to get to Earth's surface.
And even then, it might not be capable of doing much damage.

6 damage? I thought that even with plasma weaponry a heavy suppressing could only do 3 damage. Unless sectopods count as two targets for some reason.

Yes, but there will still be plenty of demand for the stuff. It's not like they're only used in jewelry or whatever.
