Right now the Civilization 4 set is at 50% off. Anyone think it will get better?

I liked the tech blurbs.
Same here. Tech blurbs, diplomatic chatter, background information. It all had an undercurrent of humor.

Endless Space just made me want to play Gal Civ 2.

I liked some of the gameplay mechanics but it felt small and simple compared to other 4X and galaxy-based 4X games. Of course, it doesn't help that I'm kind of bad at it. I have a hard time keeping ahead of the AIs in tech even when playing on below-average difficulty settings; I'm way out of practice on 4X.
Aw crap, you mentioned GalCiv 2. To this day I still do not understand the hate directed towards it, but it exists and seems quite strong here.

Anyone know how to fix an error to do with my orbiting miner?

Code: [Select]
Error in OrbitingFleets
Error 11 was generated by aurora
Division by zero

I've tried changing his orbiting distance and even disabling orbit, but that doesn't seem to fix it.

This came up in a bug report over on the aurora forums recently. Move the asteroid miner away from the asteroid then move back using the 'move to' order not the 'orbit' order. The division by zero error is due to the asteroid having a zero gravity, which is being used in calculating how far along it's orbit the ship moves during the increment. The orbit order should generally not be used for most purposes and never used to orbit at a distance of zero as it causes multiple issues.

Will the miner follow the asteroid as it moves if it's not orbiting?
Yes. You can think of Moving To a location as essentially docking with it.

Hello there!

Do you happen to have any screenshots or concept art of your project? Something to induce playtesters to volunteer.

Around here, going door-to-door just nets you an endless stream of "we're not hiring now, but we'll keep you on file" dismissals. I guess it's technically a more polite way of saying "no", but there's never an indication of when you should check back or even if they'd hire you anyway.

I enjoy Endless Space, personally. Nice visuals and the mechanics are pretty nice. It DOES take some getting used to, however.

Is the ending worse than Indigo Prophecy/Fahrenheit? Because I enjoyed most of plot from that one and loathed the ending, but I didn't have any urges to shoot people.

Highly advanced space romans sounds kinda awesome tough.

Imagine the temples.

IMAGINE. THE. TEMPLES.
I'm imagining Space!Greeks turning Olympus Mons into one massive temple city, quite frankly.

1: CS+ adds remixed music and updated sprites for everything, though you can keep the original versions if you want. There are also challenge maps and Curly's Story (which, to be honest, is almost exactly the same).

2: It really is. It goes from fairly generic shooter to HOLY CRAP I'M RIDING A GIANT WOLF to OMG I'M SLEDDING DOWN A MOUNTAIN WHILST SHOOTING AT GIANT ROBOSNAKES DEPLOYED FROM ORBIT to [spoilers].
It's pretty short, but at such a good deal that doesn't matter as much.

I can't find this Banner Saga on Steam. What platform is it for?

its not currently on steam as per say but you can buy it off their main website and this gives full access to the game from steam while its currently in beta
So are you talking about the multiplayer Factions game, or...?

multiplayer factions, sadly cant buy the single :( otherwise i would have put that up for donation sorry, still want it ? :P i mean it is a free game
Thinking about it. It does look kinda cool.
