While old books are always cool, why is this particular edition so acclaimed?

Disney would not do the holiday special. I could fully see them making a live action version of the Legostarwars movie. (or movies if there is more then one)
Not what I meant. There was a Holiday Special way back in the day, made by Lucas Arts if I remember correctly. It is pretty much universally reviled.

Oh. Was not actually aware that was a thing.

Sometimes I pretend it isn't either.

Give it a watch, I am curious to what you think.

Since it really would sort of represent the worst thing Disney could do to Starwars.
Really? I always figured the worst thing was the Holiday Special.

The problem with destroying everything is that I'm part of everything, and I'd very much like not to be destroyed.

Could you settle for destroying...I dunno, half of everything?

If they did decide to go for the Thrawn trilogy, that would make me quite happy. Imagine who they could get to play as Thrawn, or even Joruus?

the darkling wolf no longer has something that looks like it came from the canis family in his avatar!
Instead he has Ron Weasely in Hermione's hair.

...I don't even.

The target audience is going to be kids, like the prequels.  That's pretty much a given.
You don't know that.

They just shelled $4 billion out for this title.  They want a return on that investment.  Movie sales will not earn them a sufficient return.  The way they are going to get a return on that investment is by selling toys and video games.  The best market for these will be children.  Therefore their target audience will be children.
You'd think a self-proclaimed brony would recognize that even products directed at children can be big hits with older audiences.

You people need to chill out, seriously :o

How do you make that little "setting the table back upright" emote again?

Star Wars nerds scare me. I'm not sure if this will make them scarier or more hilarious.
Mwahahahahaha

I re-met my cousin for the first time in ten-sum years yesterday, we began talking about politics and one of his points against birth control was;
"Real rape doesn't get women pregnant. They have to enjoy sex or their bodies eat the wiggly bits we put in them."

and another ripe quote from his ever evolving mind;
"Straight people only have approximately a 2% chance of getting aids and that only accounts for having anal sex with women. Fluids are rarely re-enter the body via the penis."

I'm related to this man. :-[
I don't normally condone violence against people, but smack him upside the head. For me.
Kick him in the sweet spot. It's not like he uses his head anyway.

Mark Hamill turned out pretty well. Now he's a very prominent voice actor.

Who should be chained to a desk and voice the Joker forever!
He was also the voice of Fire Lord Ozai from Avatar: The Last Airbender. The man has some pretty good vocal range.

I was about to point out the Toy Story series, but then I remembered that was Disney/Pixar, not just Disney :P

Unrelated WTF: I'm watching Jaws for the first time for my cinematography class, and it seems like they happened to catch a shooting star, or possibly a UFO, on camera O_o

Ninja @ Grak: Dreamworks does the Ice Age series, not Disney or Pixar.
