Well, if we do go for Africa, I say we start constructing and get a satellite up over the USA ASAP. It gives the most money for a satellite out of any countries (180 bucks), so it will give us A LOT of money in the long run.
Actually, we start with an extra satellite and the uplink capacity to use it (on Normal, at least).

Make sure that we transfer an Interceptor to whatever continent we send our second satellite to!

It makes me wonder why the people of the world would cut funding for Humanity's last hope.
Appeasement. Stop funding XCOM and strike a deal with your future overlords, and they stop attacking you.

I am in, and ready to CRUSH baby aliens!

Name: Maxwell (or Maxine, if female) Armok
Appearance: Bright yellow armor (like in the Appearance 2.0 picture) with the first helmet. The one that looks kinda like a ski mask. Default armor deco. Everything else will be covered up anyway, so no preferences as far as skin or hair color goes.
Playstyle: Helps his/her buddies whenever possible. I'd like to be a support/medic, but I promise not to pitch a fit if I get something else  ;)

-------------

I vote to start in Africa. A 30% boost to funds can be very helpful, especially once the expensive projects start showing up. Even with the boost, there's almost never enough money to go around.

Bob Ross.
WHAT KIND OF SORCERER IS HE, HOW IS WHAT HE DOES EVEN POSSIBLE?

For anyone who doesn't know who he is, he was a painter who did a TV show about how to paint on PBS for like a decade. His style is basically "Dab some things onto the canvas, suddenly 5 seconds later there is a awesome cloud/river/mountain/whatever there from only like three brush bruss strokes".
Its like "Meh, what he is doing isn't that good" then 5 seconds later its "What just happened... how what did he just what?".
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

There's a better one, but I can't find it <_<;

Oh, FUCK you random-number-generator!

Zolton ship B. Engi homeworlds. I find the start of the stealth cruiser quest, but can't start it because I don't have an Engi on board.

VERY NEXT JUMP: Engi joins my crew for free. I feel like punching something.

EDIT: And now I am dead. Plasma storm nebula against a zolton ship with two shields, several weapons, and TWO(!) anti-ship drones - one burst laser, one beam. All at once.
I feel a need to take a break from this game  :-\

How about the survey of people instead?  Shows Biden winning 65-35 through first hour.

I suppose Fox is bitching about how Biden was "rude" by interrupting Ryan, even though that was all Romney did to the fucking President of the United States in the first debate.  Can anyone say "double standard"?
It's FOX.

Technically "paper" money is a cloth, at least in the US. I'm unsure what exact fibers they use for it.
I'm guessing they keep as much of it a secret as possible, to help prevent counterfeits.

I've lost a few soldiers to Thin Men. Floaters, however, once were responsible for a TPK, and thus are evil bastards who should die every chance I can get. At least they're amusing when a sniper headshots them mid-flight, causing their scorched carcasses to tumble along the ground.

I refuse to accept this.  First these damn Thin Men selective choose what they want to use Overwatch fire on.  Then they free nail targets in full cover from all the way across the map.  That didn't actually kill anybody, it just set off a panic of chain reaction that saw two squaddies kill each other.
Thin Men don't even bother me anymore, other than their poison spit clouds. It's hard to take them seriously when one jumps into the map from above...right into the sight lines of five elite soldiers on Overwatch. I don't think the poor bastard even had time to realize the mistake he made :P

I really don't get this.  Everyone else acts like Thin Men are some big joke who dance around and get popped like skeets.  Every single mission I've faced them in saw at least half the squad die, if it didn't turn into a total wipeout.  I've lost more soldiers to Thin Men than every other threat combined.  This can't just be bad luck.
They're a threat at first, for sure. Much bigger than the Sectoids. Thing is, after a while you get to the point where your skills and equipment are more than a match for them, and they cease to become anything more than an annoyance.

@GG: Tall skinny people. Better keep him away from basketball games :P

Speaking of abortion, it's good to know that vocal abortion opponents are upstanding, moral pillars and would never have an affair and then coerce their mistress into having an abortion.

Oh, wait.
Relevant.
