Woah, you can rotate your camera with the latest patch. Yay!

Pretty sure it was possible to rotate the camera before the patch, unless i'm mistaken.

Anyway, game unlocked for me an hour ago though i slept in a bit so i got on after it unlocked, but since it's downloading the patch it means my first personal experience will be that little bit less buggy. :D
You could. I was rotating like a fool first night this thing unlocked, and rotating the camera was part of the demo, I believe.

Dude, I'm gay, and I was raised in Utah. I know all about that :P The ads aren't bad though, from what I've seen.

And if we're ranking religions based on homophobia, the Mormon one's pretty high up there, but I think the Jehova's Witnesses are the ones that "win." Maybe some fringe cults or something are even worse, but for mainstream stuff...
Westboro baptist. Only thing that comes up in the search results.

Just came back from my first encounter with Berserkers...
Aside from taking an inordinate number of shots to bring down, they really didn't bother me much. I even managed to capture one.
However, this was in a relatively open area with my entire squad ready to shoot. I assume they'd be far more dangerous in other situations.

Also, I keep trying to have Hellsing and Grande psi-tested. Sadly, they keep getting dragged back out for terror missions and landed UFOs, where I need my very best murder machines :P

Quote
Every abduction, two countries get TONS of panic (I mean a lot, like going from 1 to 4), one gets a slight decrease if at all...
Oh it's worse than that. For abductions, the country you help (assuming you succeed) gets some panic reduction. For the other two countries, their entire continent experiences increased panic. So if you don't help Great Britain, all of Europe panics a little more.
Quote
scripted missions don't seem to lower panic all that much
Depends on the mission, it seems. I recently completed a major scripted mission, and panic WORLDWIDE decreased. Considering I had three countries on the verge of leaving, that helped tremendously.

Which game would that be, Sensei?

Also, the Squad (I really need a name for these guys) is about to go out on my first VIP mission since my first unsuccessful one. Wish them luck!

Of course I do. In the original game, I once had a guy who didn't even go on a mission get promoted :P

Not gonna dispute Hellsing's promotion though. The guy's been on 12 missions and has 30 kills.

Turns out that Socks is the only one on the entire team who didn't earn a promotion, despite his heroic actions. The world just isn't fair  :P

ETA: On the other hand, Hellsing is now a colonel. Good work, soldier! I think the queen will be granting him a knighthood any day now :D

And then Japanese Prime Minister Koizuma defeated them both in a game of mahjong. This is basic stuff, guys.
Oooooo Koizumi-San VS Hawking-San!

THE MAHJONG GAME OF THE MILLENIUM
They have both publicly stated that they would never play mahjong in the same hundred-mile radius, let alone the same game. Hawking believes that it would cause the universe to end, and Koizuma agrees. Sorry.

My brothers girlfriend asked me "Who's Stephen Hawking?" I facepalmed hard that day.
You should roll with it. Say he was some famous general or something, who conquered all of Greece and lost it to the Chinese.
The dirty capitalist Chinese.

But then Greece was freed by the revolution thrown by the uber badass, JFK, who was in turn assassinated by Hitler, who would go on to conquer Germany and create the Holocaust.
But you know, Hitler wasn't all bad. He did kill Hitler.
The Nazis also conducted a bunch of scientific research without harming any animals.
Doing it wrong. The Nazis then invented Anti-disestablishmentarianism, whihc started the French revolution. Napolean and Mecha-hitler fought to a standstill, till Napolean Pushed him over.
And then Japanese Prime Minister Koizuma defeated them both in a game of mahjong. This is basic stuff, guys.

But notice how the cars tend to catch on fire first. Short of a rocket launcher, I've never seen a car in this game just explode instantly.
