Did you get stricken with amnesia, bluejello? :P

In that case, hit them in the collarbones.
...don't those break kind of easily?
I think that's the point :I

Well, that's a relief :P

Sorry, we just get a lot of spambots around here. But welcome to Bay 12!

Not sure if spambot or real person...

I find it the same way. I still die more often than I'd like in earlier sectors, but the vast majority of my losses are in the Last Stand, often against the second form of the boss.

I've discovered that quite a few battles in the Last Stand are skippable. You might want to take those chances unless you need scrap for one last upgrade or two.

SPAZ strikes me as a long-term game. While I haven't played more than the demo myself, I doubt that you can beat the whole thing in one sitting. It also seems much harder to lose, especially since you can keep save files and reload after you die. It struck me as more arcade-y than strategic.

FTL, on the other hand, can be beaten relatively quickly, but you die a lot and lose your save file on death. It's also more strategic, with lots of pausing to plan your moves in advance.

My friend tried to break my arm as a joke.
He told me if I picked up his cat, he was going to punch me twice, because I like teasing his cats.
I nudged her, then my sister said that I pushed his cat. Then he said, "Oh, you pushed? That means I break your arm."
Then I try to push him away as he came up to me, but he got his grip on my arm and twisted it behind my back.
After having my arm painfully behind my back for a moment, he let go and said "Eh, good enough."
What the fuck. My sister didn't think that he'd go that far, too.
What the hell. I think we have two Scumbag Steves in this thread now D:

Where are all the Good Guy Gregs?

30578
Nope, not in the half hour it pursued me. My sister on a different occasion didn't fare so well and had to have that fancyshmancygluestuff put on her scalp after it was disinfected because magpie beaks carry tetanus.

WARNING: NOT COMPLAINING!

I have no idea why you are putting crap in spoiler tags. The whole thread is a spoiler.

Usually when a whole thread is spoiler you add *Spoiler Alert* or something in it.
To be fair, a lot of this is mostly speculation.

If it were the same bad thing happening each time (lighting strike in this case), neither. It would be a strong argument that doing whatever caused the lightning strike made lightning occur.
If it were a different bad thing each time, then I'm not really sure :P

In other (and kinda old) news, I started watching Legend of Korra today. I wasn't sure how well the whole 20s/30s-era vibe would work, but it seems to be holding up pretty well.

30581
I dunno, I kinda like it :P

30582
I haven't seen anything like that myself. However, it doesn't seem like they proved anything in any way. If they repeated the test and various spontaneous misfortunes kept happening, then yes: it could be hypothesized that bad luck exists. If they only performed the test once, however, and that cloud formed out of nowhere, then it is nothing but an anomaly in the data.

Yeah, all that sounds about right...

30584
How much power does each Heavy Laser II take? If you could have four of those...

30585
I'd also love to have 4 HL on a Federation Cruiser. Brutal firepower without needing much power to go along with a nicely upgraded Artillery beam.
That would be terrifying.
