Stuff like the above is the main reason I tend to avoid game communities like the plague :P

No worries, you gotta go have fun at your new school :)

Two happies:

1) Family finally decided to upgrade our crappy, dying desktop computer. The parts will arrive next week, and a family friend will put it together no charge. I'll finally be able to play games newer than ten years old and at higher than the minimum settings!
2) Learning Python while making a visual novel. I may be terrible at coding, but I do love working on a new project.

I'm in a dorm! A tiny room of my own! Wheeeeee!
was it you suffering from the room mate that was being obnoxious?

Either way, well done on getting your own tiny room the size of a large cupboard.
Nah, that was MetalSlimeHunt.

Grats, Barbarossa. :D

Another question: Can snow become corrupted/hallowfied? There's a snow biome a short distance from my base that I'd rather not lose.

Did you miss the "under a mountain" bit? I also have a tunnel under the base that leads (eventually) to hell. I didn't bother with a hellavator and instead used natural cave systems as much as possible.

Who the hell is taking my doors? Every time I get on the server my doors are missing.
Get some switchable blocks and place them outside your door. When you log off, hit the switch to toggle the blocks into their "on" state. Zombies and goblins can't buts down your doors when solid stone is covering them up :P

That'll be a lot of digging :|
What blocks are immune to corruption/hallowfication? Bricks, I assume. I'm not gonna leave gaping holes in the landscape to accidentally fall down.

Clay is immune. Also, grassless dirt but I'm not sure if it doesn't spread hallow/corruption via dirt background.
Good lord, I hope not D:
Digging those pits is gonna take long enough, I don't want to have to hammer the background out the whole way down as well.

Channel a big pit around it to prevent it getting eaten by corruption or hallow.
How big? All the way down to hell big?

So I'm preparing to kill the WoF and enter hard mode. What sort of steps can I take to "hardmode-proof" my village? It's reasonably far away any corruption and located entirely under a mountain and the surrounding land.
So far, I'm gathering as much dungeon brick as possible to make a thin explosion-proof layer around the entire base, but from what I hear Hard Mode is pretty dangerous. Any tips?

Err, you guys do know that Her Majesty died fifteen years ago, right?

We have a long-standing tradition of taxidermy in the UK.
You must dabble in animatronics as well :P
