So it's you! I was wondering who Night of the Living Rednecks was :P

And so, the happy thread officially went weird places. And it was proclaimed by the Dice of eternal Flying "Xantalos, you so silly."
"And so"? It's in weird places more often than not :P

Eh, I can always delete stuff to free up the needed space. Upgrading graphics cards or processors costs money, so that's my bigger concern.

Presidents have codenames? o.O
Not just the President, but also his wife, children, the VP, and Mitt Romney now that he's the official candidate. Not sure why they bother if all the nicknames are public knowledge anyway, but...

It definitely falls more towards the minimum requirements, but I think our computer can handle that. Thanks, Microcline!

I thought most of the entries on the "Ruined Forevar" pages were either sarcastic or simply referring to popular sentiment of the time.

Did the Witcher/Witcher 2 have an XBOX360? Because we tried installing that game today and even on lowest settings and resolution it was more like a slideshow <_<;

Started a new game. Squad was doing fairly well, only three casualties in as many missions, with the squad captain holding an impressive kill/mission ratio. We didn't even have laser pistols yet.

Then we got word of a terror attack in South America. The squad loaded into the Skyranger and got there as fast as possible.

It was a massacre. The grey-skinned aliens and their disk-shaped war machines had the Skyranger completely surrounded almost as soon as it had touched down. The HWP took reaction fire from three different directions as soon as it trundled off the ramp, thankfully not taking any serious damage. Most of the rest of the squad followed, 75% of shots missing while three of them, including the captain, were killed. Two aliens died, and the HWP managed to down a cyberdisk, though a civilian got caught in the resultant explosion.

Two soldiers got hit with some sort of stun bomb and fell unconscious. The ranking officer grabbed one of her comrades and dragged him aboard the Skyranger, an act which saved her life. I don't know what exactly happened, whether it was some sort of grenade or rocket launcher, but every other member of the squad, which was taking cover behind a house, perished in a massive explosion. Realizing that the mission was a failure, HQ commanded the HWP to get back on board the transport craft. A lone civilian, possibly the last one alive, watched in silence as his supposed saviors fled from the carnage.

Survivors: Sergeant Yoko and the HWP. The unconscious soldier that Yoko saved apparently died of shock on the trip back.

Surely there's more deaths per capita of game industry related people in the gun-toting US of A than drop-bear deaths in Aussie?

I mean, we even warn people about the drop-bears......
Nah, because in the USA the gaming industry people have guns and can fight back. It's hard to fight back against the life force of an entire continent :P

More on-topic, does anyone know what sort of specs will be required for this? Tempted to pre-order (or request it for my birthday coming up), but our "gaming rig" is something like six years old and slowly dying.

It's because your highly dangerous ecology results in a 20% loss rate for game imports, jacking up the price. Online prices reflect this price increase, in honor of the dozens of merchandise shippers killed each year.
