What XKCD fails to mention is that the normal guy goes on to have children, while the scientist is found dead the next day from massive electrical trauma. That's why you bring in test subjects :P

I'm fine with mostly being used for RP purposes. I don't want to deal with decision-making anyway :P

When you do something and it hurts, you don't IMMEDIATELY DO THE SAME THING AGAIN.
*Unless for science.
No, that's when you get some other test subject to see if it affects more than one person :P

See, when I got electrically shocked I bitched out the family who had exposed wiring in a place where their kids could get to. I then unplugged the TV and got some electrical tape. I didn't touch the goddamn wire again.

Well, if House is anything to go by...
:P
It's never lupus?
Funny, but not what I was trying to say. I seem to recall a few occasions in which the team would inject drugs directly into someone's skull/spine.

Like, the one you apply directly to your brain.
Sounds painful. How do you get through the skull?
Trepanation. Duh.

Had to change my tire once when I came out and found one slashed in the school parking lot. Brand new, too  >:(

MSH, you can watch the guy crash and burn, and it sounds like he might deserve it. Just be sure to call an ambulance when it happens :P

General Discussion / Re: Awesome teachers you had

Most of my awesome teachers were in high school.

My French teacher was good-teacher-awesome. Pretty much all of her homework assignments demanded that we use creative art skills to show that we got the concepts and terms down. She was really nice as well, offering after-school tutoring to anyone who was struggling and making sure that everyone had their chances to shine. I was in her classes for three years, but now I barely remember any French and I feel ashamed about that  :-\

My U.S. history teacher, on the other hand, was crazy-awesome. He was a die-hard Republican and proud of it, something unusual in my mostly-progressive school. He showed us JibJab videos in class. He had a sort of maul/club, made from half a yard stick with a bunch of broken rulers taped to one end. He would whack the desks of students who fell asleep with it. He was also the basketball team's coach, and so was frequently wearing school jerseys and stuff like that. Even if you didn't agree with his politics, you looked forward to his class because you never knew what he might do next.
