Another question, can we get the server up for a while (say, tomorrow) so we can update our pogs? If some of us can get it done before game time, we'll be able to get started sooner.

Gotta love Bay12.
It's like the news, but not biased or funded by biased media companies.
Bay 12? Not biased?
Excuse me while I post a conservative thread and get mobbed.

Also, can we either drop this thread or change the title? Clearly, this thread long ago stopped being about a bunch of people getting shot and became a place for people to rant. Besides, anyone who's still in critical condition after all this time is unlikely to ever get better.

Do you have SM mode on, by any chance? If not, close the event window, turn it on, and try running another turn. I seem to recall that having SM mode enabled would tell you why turns were being interrupted.

A fleet completing orders will usually leave an announcement, though. Something like "GeoSurv 005 has completed orders."

Excuse me while I pick my jaw off the floor...

Now, I like the cartoony graphics we're seeing. Remember what the dude in the video said: they're not going for realism, they're going for AWESOME. What I'm hoping for right now is the ability to build enough engines to propel entire moons or planets, and use them as mobile, nearly indestructible carriers. Imagine looking up and seeing an extra moon in the sky, which begins dropping hordes of robot tanks. That would indeed be awesome.

I just found a book I had apparently accidentally stolen from high school after I graduated.
I have one of those. Borrowed it from the library, thought I lost it somewhere, paid the replacement fee, found it a year later, kept it. At least it's a good book.

And dreadnaughts don't really count at "mechs". Aside from the fact that they are lumbering and kinda slow (unlike the suits the Mobile Infantry used in Starship Troopers), they are used by Space Marines as a sort of walking, fighting life-support system/sarcophagus for badly injured Marines. The closest thing to traditional mechs in Warhammer 40k are the battlesuits used by the Tau.

And now we're way off-topic :P

Well, it's only been a day and I'm already failing pre-calculus. Just kill me now.

It's 10:50 at night, I have to wake up in about seven hours, and I just discovered that my pre-calculus teacher has given us a 58-question test, totaling >130 subquestions, due by midnight. The semester started YESTERDAY. Fuck.

First day of school tomorrow. Feeling a mixture of excitement, nervousness, happiness, and nausea. Y'know, typical night-before-going-back-to-school jitters :P

Did you actually click the "New Class" button before adding parts?
Oh man, now I just feel stupid...
Thanks a bunch, I was afraid I botched something and would have to reinstall!
It's a common mistake, no worries :P
Good luck!

(I just put my XP at 1,000 for now, if the actual total is different let me know. Also let me know if I screwed up anything.)

*ding!*
Lon Gordi has reached Level 2!
Health increased by (roll 1d6) 4 to 11 max!
Gained +1 BAB (Total: +1)
Base Reflex and Will saves increase by +1
Can now use three level-0 spells and one 1st-level spell (due to high CHA mod) per day.
He learns the level-0 spell Lullaby and the 1st-level spells Charm Person and Cure Light Wounds!
6 additional skill points (+1 Bluff, +1 Diplomacy, +2 Gather Information, +1 Sleight of Hand, +1 Perform (Lute))
Feat Retrain: Two-Weapon Fighting into Weapon Finesse

The battles in the goblin cave, alongside allies old and new, made Lon realize that emulating his once-master's technique would not serve him well at this point. The exotic whip had done more harm than good, while the simple and trusty rapier did a marvelous job (aside from him dropping it at one point). He began training with it consistently, learning how to use his quick reflexes to their full advantage in a fight.

As a result of his constant interactions with his companions, his skill with the Common language grew. Making friends (or at least temporary allies) became even easier, and he learned to channel his musical powers into inflicting drowsiness and healing minor wounds. Flush with victory, he was already planning his next epic even as he looked forward to what the future would bring.

Sounds good. An adventuring group this big probably couldn't stay together on it's own. It would also provide a valid excuse for why the roster changes from week to week.
