@ epic bluffing abilities: :(

@ Hanslanda: Yeah, I wasn't sure about names. And I have no idea how I f'd up the BBcode so badly O_o

32072
Everything.

What's the policy on character names? Can they be kinda goofy, or must they be serious medieval names?

For reference, my bard's working name is Lon Gordi.

32075
Torture implements? :o
Aaaaaanyway...here's what I've got so far:

Rapier
Whip
Padded Clothing (light armor)
Backpack
Bedroll
Flint and Steel
2 Belt Pouches
10 rations
2 hempen ropes
Sack
5 torches
2 water skins
Lute
Spell component pouch (was auto-selected for me, despite being a bard. Weird.)
Pet Owl (25gp)

Are there any restrictions preventing characters from having multiple containers at once (backpack, belt pouch, sack)?

@ Realm: Don't spellcasters need components or something?

Y'know, I'd be willing to try out the FPS if it were a new franchise or story. Mysterious lights dissolving stuff, being battled with 50's era technology? Sounds like it could be great. Problem was, it just wasn't X-COM.

Anyone explain what a backpack does? Does it increase the amount you can carry or something?

32079
But waterskins can be refilled, right? Provided of course a source of clean water (say, a stream) is available.

Ninja: But Realm, that's my job! To earn money with my skill at guitar lute! :P

Knowing that, checking that d20srd site doesn't explain how much food/waterskins weigh, nor how long they last or how much is needed per day. Also, I cannot locate instruments on Pathguy's builder. How much do those generally run?

@Ninja Sirus - Ohoho! They knew you wanted to play a rapier-wielding fop!
Quote from: SRD
A bard is proficient with all simple weapons, plus the longsword, rapier, sap, short sword, shortbow, and whip.
Go for it!
Oh, sweet! I forgot all about that :P

Hmm, whips eh? I might pick one up for...reasons.

32082
Agh, bards can't use martial weapons by default. That means no rapiers.
Changed my mind, I'll take Martial Weapon Proficiency for now, Weapon Finesse next time. Two-Weapon can wait - I am NOT going to use a simple knife.

32083
Well, that makes sense. I decided to lower my Wisdom a little to improve my Dexterity by one point. Strength is not really my priority, though that might bite me in the ass until I can take a second feat  :-\
Does 3.5 have anything like the retraining in 4E? Could I switch feats at level 2, when I have enough BAB to use Finesse?

32084
So, looking back I should choose Weapon Finesse or Two-Handed. Problem is, I can't seem to select either of those on Pathguy  :-\
All I see about WF is that I need a "Base attack bonus +1", but...what does that even mean? Do I need to reselect my attributes to give enough DEX for TH?

32085
I remember a suggestion about taking Two-Handed fighting as a feat (for my bard). Am I going to be wielding two weapons, or do I need one hand for my instrument and one for a weapon?
