Other Games / Re: Shores of Hazeron: War was beginning

I know the Intel graphics card on my laptop cannot handle OpenGL, which results in invisible terrain but not people, ships, or rocks on the ground. Don't know anything about ATI though.

Progress was made today! The dwarven kingdom of Mountainhome now has colonies in three star systems. I also did a lot of work with stabilizing existing colonies. The capitol city houses two TL7 laser towers and the home system is patrolled by a small but well-armored (for the tech level) scouting vessel. Hopefully it'll help keep pirate activity down.

Worms: Reloaded
One of my major regrets is having missed/forgotten about this. :(
I've gotten very little fun out of my copy. Is there some way I can gift it to you?
Don't believe so. Try playing it with friends, though- Worms is one of those series where single player is more of a testing/timewasting/messing around mode.
Au contraire, although the game is definitely the most fun in multiplayer and that's the main draw, some of the worms games (not sure about Reloaded) have unlockable weapons in the single player.

On the flip side, playing single-player also forces you to cope with the @#$% CHEATING AI !@#$.

(Technically, the AI doesn't cheat. It's just flawless at predicting weapon arcs through wind to perfectly nail your worms from the far side of the map.  >:( )
Every. Single. Time.

The blatant lying is pretty bad, but I disagree with the Boston mayor's decision. Banning a restaurant chain seems like a violation of free speech to me.

General Discussion / Re: Bay12's Desktops

I find that some of my desktop icons keep moving around after I turn off my laptop. Is there some sort of option to lock them in place?

If any major country lost power for a week, it'd be pretty bad. No refrigeration means food goes bad, if the weather is really hot that could mean heat-related deaths, hospitals would likely run out of generator power and lose life support...the list goes on.

I don't even know what a tumblr is :P

I recognize five different elements in that avatar and do not recognize those crystal spikes or whatever they are. Also, I think staring at it for an extended period of time may cause irreversible loss of sanity. Extended period of time being defined here as "more than two seconds".
Clearly it's a symbol of Chaos. The Ordo Malleus has been alerted and they'll be along shortly to cleanse the Internet - and by extension, the rest of the world - of that image.

KILL IT WITH FIRE.

Arrgh, phone stopped working last night and refuses to get better. It won't recharge and holding the power button will not force it to shut down. Basically waiting for the battery to die in the hope that it clears whatever error is going on.

Attention? Attempted suicide-by-cop? Um...multiple personalities?

Well, it's 12:30 in the morning and I've decided to subject myself to some emotional roller-coasters. I've just finished my first playthrough of Analogue: A Hate Story and learned about the main female character's tragic backstory (and before anyone asks, I'm a sucker for those kinds of stories).
So I'm checking my Youtube subscriptions before going to bed, and what do I find in the suggestions box? The full End of Evangelion. Supposedly one of the most twisted, demented, mind-fu*ked things around. Whether that's true or not, I can't say, but coming off of a heartwarming tale to a bit of excessive gore and trippy imagery is sure to leave me unable to sleep tonight :D

ETA: Well, that was certainly...interesting. Not sure if it'll keep me up all night, though.

Jade Empire: Special Edition is 75% off. It's basically a kung-fu game made by Bioware, so take that as you will. I kinda like it.

Database/server upgrades, maybe? I'm guessing after the first couple of breakings, Toady or someone else sprung for newer equipment

maximum trolling.
Brilliant.
FLAWLESS VICTORY

Can't view this at work, but is this the Michael Moore "Soddomobile" clip? If not, I suggest you go search for those three words on youtube right now (possibly NSFW but damn funny)  :D
It is not. It's someone (possibly a student) interviewing several WBC members. I recommend watching it just for some of the responses he gets.
