What I would like is an RTS with a campaign where there is no "mission fail, try again?". Basically, you have to accept your losses. A kind of roguelike RTS.The Total War series is a good example of this. Screw up, and you can easily lose your faction leader, every one of his sons, and most of your army with no "oops, try again?" function. Nothing stopping you from save-scumming, though.
Also check out Mount&Blade. While named characters and your own cannot die, none of your other units, not even the elite ones you spent real-time hours training, are immune.
Finally, while it's turn-based rather than real-time, X-COM is legendary for the colossal screw-ups you can accomplish without any sort of retry button.

Oath of Fealty is basically a roleplaying concept. Wait a few hours for someone in your realm to offer you an estate, and when you get there pledge to serve them loyally. There's no real in-game function to it.

Dwarvenkind had it's first interspecies meeting today! Dwarf and some very tall green lizard with butterfly wings. The two empires exchanged gifts: the dwarves received a finely-crafted ring. The lizard people got some dwarven cheese. It's pretty much the best thing a barely-TL2 empire could offer a race that had already hit double-digit tech levels

« on: July 17, 2012, 04:02:51 pm »I haven't bought any of these indie bundles, so I'm not sure about these, but I remember when that indie space bundle came out last month I got giftable copies of the two games I already had.The Double Fine bundle looks promising, and by that I mean I'll have an extra copy of Psychonauts and Costume Quest to give to people.
You can do that? I thought buying packages meant buying another copy for yourself that is not giftable?

I went ahead with the sorceress (because my shop is always full of food and healing items in Recettear ), but I hit a new problem. How do I refill the crafting materials? I'm out of the stuff required to make my only recipe and can't figure out how to get more.
