Don't worry, if a punathon breaks out Janet will have it declared non-cannon.

Prepping to give a Shadowrun campaign the old college try. I'm rolling a scrawny elf hacker/pilot who fancies himself king of the virtual universe. Going to have him living off the grid, with mad computer infiltration skills, a few homemade AI gun/scouting drones, and the ability to jack into systems wirelessly WITH HIS MIND. I'm thinking he's going to live and work out of a modified utility van with a cow-catcher on it too, subsisting off of shitty microwaved food. He is going to be the best elf.

First cyberpunk tabletop I've tried, and I'm really looking forward to it.
...WTF?

Why so WTF?

It's a tabletop game: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shadowrun
A fairly commonplace one at that. They made a sucky SNES game, a hilariously bad FPS for 360 and a pretty great Sega Genesis game of it.
What'chu talkin' 'bout, Max? The SNES game was awesome :|

I can't comment on the other two, however.
Maybe I was just sucky at it. I remember that the artwork was ok, but it being extremely frustrating because I suck at pixel hunting.
I admit that the pixel hunting was bad at times, but it had some pretty awesome music (I still remember the combat and bar music tracks, despite not playing the game for many years) and I enjoyed the way they had combat and conversations set up.

Granted. However, you comprehend a tenth as much as you used to.

I wish everyone had free access to clean water.

How the hell did you guys go off on a two-page derail? O_o

That cybercone will come in handy for the electric heavy next floor, IIRC.

Also, you inspired me to try DoD again. I usually die on the 3-4th floor. Decided to try a warrior build this time instead of the usual Wizard.

Looks like you're doing pretty damn awesome!

Welcome back! Hopson has chosen to learn how to inscribe Celestial Circles, a mana-intensive but highly useful ability.
He also equips the Elven Longbow. Good thing bows can shoot crossbow bolts just as well as actual crossbows.

Here's a possible upgrade for Hopson's cog hat. That's a lot of voltaic damage, and extra voltaic and aetherial resistance is never a bad thing. Hopson puts it on for now, but he'll keep the cog hat just in case.

This looks like a good time to test the Celestial Circle.

Jeez Louise. That's some major tankiness.

You Bay Watchers really know your stuff. I'm half-tempted to take on the next zoo just with this.

Found a second Lutefisk Cube here. Something...interesting is supposed to happen if you attempt to transmute a cube inside a second cube. I'm ashamed to say that I've never tried it, but then again in most of my games I never find more than one.

And just like that, Hopson has finished the second floor! He's doing good so far, but things are just gonna get tougher from here on. Tune in next time!

Pretty sure they still have it. It isn't included in the list of regions under Summerdale control.

General Discussion / Re: Things that made you go "WTF?" today o_O

Apparently I look like a priest or something.

So I was walking around reading a book, and someone came up to me asking me what I was studying. Worker's comp law.... He thought it was a bible and wanted to have a discussion with me about God....
books=/=bibles.

was it old, musty, and leatherbound with small writing and ridiculously thin pages? if so, I can understand...
I have a copy of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy that looks like a Bible. I once considered dressing up as a priest on Halloween and carrying it around, quoting lines out of it :P

Steam sales are why I have only played 25% of my catalog...
Guilty here as well.

Those make you happy? I'm cringing at most of them  :-\

No, I don't care that they look like they were written by preschoolers.

I finally scraped together $15! KSP, you WILL be mine :D

Weird, I've only got about $350 in savings and I'm not getting charged anything.
