Other Games / Re: Starbound - A flat yet infinite universe.

So why all the talk about newtonian physics and stuff? That's never been on the feature page. You're artificially building up your expectations by complaining about things that have never even been discussed. It'd be like me complaining that you've never given me ten thousand dollars. It's unfair to you, and it's unfair to the developers.

And for what it's worth, I'd be just fine with a randomly-generated run-and-jump platformer with random items set in space. I still get plenty of fun out of Terraria, so Terraria with more engaging combat and the ability to easily visit dozens if not hundreds of unique-looking worlds sounds just fine to me. If it becomes even more awesome than that, I'm even happier.

So make another thread about it. This is the Starbound discussion thread, not the "I hate indie games and this is why" thread.

Wells Fargo is charging me $10 a fucking month for having a account there, thats about 100 times the interest that I am getting from having an account there.
So if I continued with Wells Fargo, they would charge me 120 dollars a year and give me about a dollar of interest.
Well, I guess they lost my business.
Pretty sure they only charge you if you have below a certain amount of money in your account. I've had Wells Fargo for years, I've only ever gotten fines when I dropped below $50 or so.

And so, after a somewhat disappointing zoo, Hopson continues his adventures!

In a room just past the zoo, Hopson finds a strange object on the ground. He reaches for it...

Oh dear. Hopson is still somewhat low on health from the aftereffects of the squid bolt. This may be tricky.

Or it would have been, if they blobbies were capable of doing more than 1 damage per hit and if I weren't one-shotting them (both Berserker Fury AND FotF activated early in the battle). The prize, Nocordchi, is a fairly low-strength staff weapon, certainly not worth trading his axe for.

Well, this is interesting. Does slightly more damage than our artifact crossbow, and also increased crit chance and stealth ability. Can we put our dwarven prejudices aside and use this elvish work?

More good news! Hopson has leveled once more! Choose a new ability!

The best i can see coming out of this is some Knytt style platformer, but with guns and a few figures wich sprites just had their hue randomly alteref. Maybe some spaceship that will let you fly to 3-4 other systems, point-and-click-to-go-there controls. The gameplay will entirely consist of running up and down a hill, kill 2 or 5 monsters with nothing special about them, maybe a randumbly generated jumble of words as their names. Watch some mining animation and walk back to your ship wich will then, after 2 minutes of loading be sent into a boring space backdrop, 2 or 3 other boring planets in view. Point and click in the direction of the menu butto-AHEM space station, waiting 3 minutes because you arent a level 7 douchebag-in-a-cockpit, being put into some boring station interface with 2 or 3 parts animated, like some boring fucking point-and-click game.
Holy crap, you can travel to the future?! No? You can see the future? No? You're pulling spurious arguments out of your ass with little-to-no supporting evidence? Thought so.

Not that my opinions mean shit, but if i would first even remotely think of spending a much as a penny when i have seen a full flegded space gameplay complete with awesome derelict spaceships to explore/loot and astroids to dogde and blow to pieces, newtonian physics and gravity wells, when the planets are rich and with a detailed, simulated ecosystem, awesome ancient cities to explore/getting raped by lovecraftian horrors and Jaffa cakes.
Seriously.
I may be wrong, but I don't think any of these were ever planned for this game to begin with (except possibly the ecosystems and lost cities, but I'm not even sure about that). How's about you find a game that's actually working on those things instead of bitching about a completely unrelated project?

If you and Neonivek really want to lodge complaints about something that hasn't even been released yet, how's about you go to their forums? It's unlikely that the devs are reading this thread, and despite what you seem to think the world does not care enough about your opinions to actively seek them out.

Granted. However, time actually moves up and down. All you can do is jump through identical universes.

I wish for awesome Warhammer 40,000 fanart.

I've always had good luck with drones and railguns when using Gallente characters. Assuming you have the speed, you can keep a nice distance between yourself and enemies.

Evangelion death screams are not good decisions.

Unless it's Ramiel's death scream, yeah. That one's badass.
I can't seem to find any. :-\
Yeah, for some reason footage of the first Rebuild movie is hard to find. Especially Ramiel. I don't know why  :-[

32589
I had a great idea: my ringtone, answering machine, and alarm clock (especially the latter two) should be Asuka's mind-rape scream from Evangelion.
Make it Ramiel's death scream from Rebuild :D

Despite her terrible max health (450, while many of her opponents are in the 600-700 range), she's still capable of taking them on.

That's two serious injuries on an enemy with superior stats in every category. I think I'm in love :P

Miss Demeanor is a Juggernaut, Tehsid is Elite. They'd be higher, but I stopped playing for a few weeks :P

In slightly unrelated news, Tehsid scored two kills in the Arena today, and Miss Demeanor scored her first. Despite their average stats, I'm finding it increasingly difficult to consider getting rid of them.

Which one's your character again? I can probably put a small estate together for you.

There was the takeover bug that kickstarted Summerdale's war with Libero and later Morek. I'm afraid I don't have the slightest bit of sympathy for Libero's problems right now <_<

To give you an idea of how much of a paragon he was, consider this story (I don't have the exact details and this may be an urban legend, so grain of salt here).

Someone stole a car from a hotel. Later that day, they saw on the news that it was Mr. Roger's car. The car was returned the next day with an apology note.

32595
Damn, I haven't seen Mr. Rogers in ages. Major nostalgia trip.
