Well, after having read the label, I know that you can kill HIV with OdoBan.
And what else does it kill? :P

I know that not everyone likes the Yogscast, but this is a pretty damn cool custom map.

I have an adventurer running around on Dwilight. He's actually managed to amass a decent amount of gold from monster bounties and stuff.

As long as no-one attacks us, the fleet can stay in Trill unless needed elsewhere :)

Possibly a spambot, but I'll give this a shot.
OP's pretty definitely not a spambot, though a bit of a lurker.

If it's from the decker dude, I'll definitely have to give it a shot whenever I end up with consistent not!iPad computer access. Decker was pretty solid, for what it was.
Yeah, I realized that after checking his/her profile. Oops :P

I didn't like how they reworked Commander bonuses.

For the uninitiated, every Advance Wars game up until Days of Ruin had Commanding Officers who provided bonuses and penalties to all of your units. By dealing and taking enough damage, COs could use a special power (or two) as a sort of limit break.
In DoR, however, you have to place your commander in one of your units, and only that one would get any real advantage. Powers would only affect nearby units, and power could only be built up with the commanding unit - and the enemy AI prioritizes attacking your CO. Lose the commanding unit, lose your power. Bleh.

The story and gameplay were excellent for the most part, though. I still kinda prefer Dual Strike for the sheer amount of potential strategy.
I can completely see why they revamped the commander bonuses.  I can't really vouch for the earlier games but DS was hilariously unbalanced and swingy due to

a) Some commanders simply having abilities that were simply too good.  Grit and Colin were the ones I remember.  Grit's basically turned artillery into cheap rockets and let you inevitably win through attrition when using a meatshield, while Colin again allows you to win on attrition due to cheaper units and being able to tag out to someone with decent attack when you need it.  I seem to remember Hachi's Super CO power having a tendancy to cause you to win on some maps too.
b) Tag powers being ridiculous and often game deciding.  It's not so much "strategy" if the first person to get tag power crushes everything the opponent has and leaves them with no way to retaliate.

I mean, sure, it was awesome to OHKO my opponent in one of the last missions of the campaign with an infantry unit that was 20 squares away from my opponent's HQ at the start of the turn, but I don't imagine that things like that are conducive to balance or fairness.
Sadly, yes some COs were OP. That's been a problem since the first game, it wasn't new to DS.
I dunno about how well multiplayer worked, but it was totally possible to survive Tag Powers, and the best part was that the damage caused could be enough to trigger your own Tag Power, thus initiating a Hollywood-worthy counterattack.

I can say that with 60+ hours in and still not done with the story, it is probably the best game I've ever played so far. I've got to say that all of you people complaining about getting it on an emulator and debating whether they should do that or for the Wii, it may be HD graphics but remember, if you don't buy the Wii, what's going to fund more games like that? (Plus you get to feel better about yourself playing the game like it should be.)
I have a Wii. I don't know of any stores that stock this game around here, and I'd prefer not to buy things online (it's comforting to actually hold your purchase in your hands).

YES. Level 2 suit. At the very least, you'd be able to hold more stuff :P

Man, is Advance Wars: Day of Ruin such a satisfying game so far. My experience with the series is limited to the first two games, which were soured by the fact that the games are cheating bastards, and it's usually the moment that I find out how a game cheats that I get sick of playing it immediately, but this game pretty much rectifies all the problems I had. The AI follows the same rules I do, thinks strategically, doesn't do anything unfair, and innovated on the CO mechanics so it looks like every CO is usable instead of only a select few from the first two games. While I actually enjoyed the happy, smarmy story the series started with where the players were at war, but still treated eachother like old buddies, this game is much more serious and trying to take a more grim approach to things.

I'm enjoying it, gotta say.
Wait till you get near the end. The good-old cheating AI will be back with a vengeance :D

this thing

it's a thing of beauty
At first I was upset because it wasn't the aforementioned voice-over, but this is better.

Were laws being imposed to force pastors to marry people they don't want to marry, then I'd be on their side 100%. That ain't the case.
Once again, this. :P

Besides, I'm sure there are plenty of churches (that Unity sect that seems to be making the rounds, or possibly the Quakers) and non-denominational houses of worship that would be glad to host gay wedding services. Money is money, after all.

33405
I was under the impression that religions can perform whatever the hell ceremonies they want. The whole gay marriage deal has to do with legal contracts, nothing else.
This. Seems like many Christian sects prohibit divorce, which is why divorce is a legal option for anyone who wants one (here in the States, at least). If churches don't want to hold ceremonies for gay couples, I don't see a need to force them to do so, so long as a legal option is available.
