Alright, so it sounds like the gameplay of the first DoW but with the second's engine. I have no problems with this.

What about the expansions? Worth it or no?

RTS without the resource gathering

Original, you had 3 resources to collect for unit construction: men, fuel, and ammo.

Much more like the sequel.

Portal 2 was 66% off so Im finally getting to see what the fuss was about. Then theres bastion and napoleonic wars. So many new games!

If you played Portal, the first section of the game will be a delight. Basically a warm-up course of simple levels to get you back into the swing of things, interspersed with awesome bits of passive-aggressive GLaDOS dialogue.
Even before GLaDOS shows up, you have Wheatly and the generic announcer voice to give you a daily dose of chuckles. GLaDOS is just better at it than they are :)

Portal 2 is 66% off right now. They recently added a test chamber editor for free, which I'm pleased to say works rather well so far.

And what's Company of Heroes like?
Warhammer 40k in WWII
The original Dawn of War or the sequel? The two were rather different...

I'm sorry folks, but no update today. I'll hopefully have some time tomorrow.
After that, dunno. We've got to use him for something, though, as he is the perfect age. What areas still have open space, and how much?
The following slots are empty (sorted by location, with relevant skill in parenthesis):
  • Bridge: 1st Officer (Leadership), Assistant Operator (Control)
  • Navigation: Helmsman (Navigation), Chart Officer (Navigation)
  • Fire Control: Handler (Artillery), Radar Operator (Control)
  • Engineering: Assistant Engineer (Maintenance), Chief Responder (Maintenance)
  • Maintenance: Assistant Mechanic (Maintenance)
  • R&D: Researcher (Science)
  • Fighters: Squads 1, 2, and 3 Chiefs (Piloting)
  • Ship Management: Chief Accountant (Management), Accountant (Management), Supply Officer (Management), Head Chef (Management). Security Chief (Combat) is also empty, but I'm trying to keep Yuri in that slot.

super random 9 second wtf video of the day
That show is TERRIFYING.
There were a few choice episodes that creeped me out when I was younger, but only years later did I fully understand the implications. That show was truly a masterpiece.
It seems like there were more masterpieces from when we were younger. Newer stuff doesn't cut it a lot of the time :/

Pretty, but... What IS IT?

Even Snopes seems stumped, so far.
I for one welcome our new aquatic eldritch overlords.
It's a Jellyfish.
Doesn't look much like a jellyfish. And the picture in one of the reference links looks nothing like the video. Wish they had some actual photographs. :/

I was under the impression (mostly from Yahtzee) that the gamers themselves want the games, but the politicians are still stuck in the Jack Thompson stage of game savvy.
Yep. It's getting better but still no R rating. My copy of L4D2 has no corpses, the germans just got green blood. :'(
I genuinely feel sorry for Australians. Every living (and some non-living!) thing is trying to kill you, and your games are censored worse than our otherwise oh-so-puritanical society.
