I'm not sure what OTP is, and right now I'm not gonna go googling strange acronyms due to being on a school network :P
Anyway, Yuri decides to intervene and help the poor cosmetics salesman!

Probably Gamemaker, I've made simple but similar top-down games before using that.

Again: While robot security would be badass, does anyone really want to get into melee in the first place? :P
There are times that it is unavoidable, sadly.

I'm not really sleeping either. Not good for a guy who has to get ready for school in three hours.

Guess I'll have to hop myself up on caffeine and hope for the best.

The perfect search engine for hipsters: http://millionshort.com/about.html
It allows you to remove up to the first 1 million search results. Now you can find websites no one else has seen before. :D
Doesn't seem to work  :-\

Search: The Rolling Stones
The second thing that popped up was the Rolling Stones official site. You'd think that would be in the top 1,000,000.

Never mind, those were all fansites with official-sounding names. I'm somewhat impressed.

I'd surely buy an inverted Call of Duty Modern Warfare-esque game.
Evil Americans are invading Soviet Union/Russia and you are a member of the elite team of Spetsnaz fighting the aggressors throughout various locations.
I'd probably play that just for the novelty.
For more general playing-as-a-Russian purposes, there is Metro 2033. It's a good game, but it takes a hefty system to run it :(

I really can't wait to have an estate. Replacing my losses nearly broke me, no way I'll be able to pay their wages for more than a few days.

Seems like we have been getting several new nobles in the past couple of days, so competition for land is heating up fast. Hope we don't run out of room, otherwise I'll be bankrupt and homeless in short order ...
We have some regions that are lordless right now, but once some lords are appointed they will hopefully be able to create estates for the newcomers. Just gotta battle some monsters to build some honor up, I think.

I don't have a bandwidth cap, I have a speed problem. If I start the first one right now, I MIGHT be able to finish before I go to school in about 7 hours.

Hmm...perhaps I can use the main household computer to run the downloads instead. It'd be much faster than this laptop >.>

Agh, no more programs! I'm already checking out vterrain and trying to decide which of the DAZ 3D programs I'll get (probably all of them, as they seem to do different things. Now I have another one, along with the game engines I was checking out earlier! :P

Well yeah, go ahead and make your idea. I'm sure the world can always use more blob simulators :D
Never let the phrase "it's been done" dissuade you.

I have a good link :D free character modeling and landscape modeling software at http://www.daz3d.com/i/3d/free-3d-software-overview Daz3D + Hexagon + Bryce = epic win on professional grade software that is only a few years old! Just got it today and been playing with it since then :)
*spit-take*
$400+ software? For free?! Damn, I'm gonna have to get in on that, even if this isn't the best computer for the job. I'll just burn the install folders onto a CD or something.

There is already a game in which you play as an amorphous blob that propels itself around a sorta-platformer level. The only difference is that you don't turn solid and die if you stop moving.

N and N+ were amazing. I still play it to kill time occasionally. I seem to recall that there was a levelbuilding mode, too, so you could make absurdly difficult gauntlet runs and such.
Eh, I didn't like N+ as much. It was easier, for one thing; did a no-death run of the entire game, while I still haven't beaten N. The physics didn't seem as good either.

I want to like N, I really do, it just feels like the ninja is made of greased molasses that sort of humps and slides its way up walls and other obstacles and goes splat when it makes a less than heroic leap.

Is there something I'm missing, or have I been spoiled by other platformers?
Depends. Have you seen the hunter-killer drones, the railgun turrets, or the ninja-seeking missile launchers?

@ Galen: Sorry, no amorphous mass here. You play as a little stick-figure ninja and do lots of wall jumps and flying leaps. You are also utterly defenseless and must rely on reflex and timing to avoid death while completing five levels in a row (no saves) in 90 seconds.
It's fun :D
