Pirates! can be fun. A metric crap-ton of things to do and plenty of ways to do them. Sadly, character customization is pretty much nil.

ETA: Entire Borderlands franchise is 75% off. I highly recommend this if you want a mix of Diablo-style looting and a solid shooter that doesn't take itself to seriously.

Can someone give a brief review of Freedom Force?

While going on a TV-Trope walk (clicking the random button and reading anything that caught my eye), I discovered that episodes of Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann are online for free. Legally. Maybe now I can see what all the fuss is about.

That's pretty much my viewpoint. A good number of my games (including the previous ME titles) are on Steam. I'd rather have the complete set.

Origin does have one cool thing though: streaming game demos in your browser. I played a Dead Space 2 demo on IE and it worked perfectly. Didn't even have to sign in, just let it load for a while and before long I was dismembering alien zombies.
