Science Fantasy is a good term.Oh, for sure. There's no reason you can't like both, as they're actually pretty different.
Science as a vehicle for a story, instead of the story itself, like in Star Trek.
That's not a judgement call on either of em, I like them both. But comparing them is like comparing apples and oranges.
I was referring to ysalamiri, but I guess you're talking about the Yuuzhan-Vong. I admit I haven't read those books, but isn't it a common magic trope to have enemies that are immune to the universe's energy? The EU also has an entire dozen+ book series focused on a species specifically exempt from having anything to do with the Force (which extends to all the organic tech they have), the new things brought up to fight them, and why they got tossed out of the magic universal thing in the first place.Na, it was because they wanted to look like it was science, by replacing magic with magic microbes. There's still some magic.
Ok, midiclorians are the host body's conduit into the Force. We still have the mystical energy field known as the Force. It can affect totally non-organic stuff, as we've seen any number of times. And in the EU, we've got creatures that block the Force, basically creating a no-magic zone.

I never heard of the black oneThat he's a racist caricature of black people.I think it's the perceived racism of Jar Jar that people get all bent-out-of-shape over.I actually haven't heard that one before, elaborate please?
Though I haven't heard the Italian one.
The version I hear most frequently is that Jar-Jar (or his voice, at least) is stereotypically Italian.I think it's the perceived racism of Jar Jar that people get all bent-out-of-shape over.I actually haven't heard that one before, elaborate please?
Well they guilt tripped him instead of shooting him. That is diplomat respect, isn't it?I guess so. Keep in mind though that Palpatine was racist/speciesist (or at least the Empire had those kinds of policies), so it's possible he saw Jar-Jar as a dumb alien ripe for manipulation.
Jar Jar? Yea, he was pretty good. I especially liked how in the background he went from being a foolish exile to a respected diplomat without anybody even noticing. Also loved how he got on with droids. He wasn't respected. He was guilt-tripped into proposing the Grand Army by Palpatine, and everyone else agreed because they wanted it as well. Still better than being the scrappy comic relief, of course.
The rich are still getting taxed more than everybody else, and the more money you make, the more you get taxed. So how come Mitt Romney paid less in taxes (percentage-wise and actual amount) than Obama, despite Romney making much more money?

}Part of the function for creating a new character. I'm thinking this will be a semi-roguelike; permanent death ftw.
Sup dudes. OP updated slightly, just in time before I have to do it again for Michigan, which I guess will actually matter for something.*spittake*
My cleaned up OP is also thirty thousand characters, 3/4 of the limit for one post. I might need to stick stuff somewhere for storage.
