I try not to unconditionally hate things. I don't always succeed, but it helps keep me on the Paragon path.

My best hope might be to wait until ME3 is massively discounted on Steam. Hopefully more of the money would go to Bioware rather than EA, but even if it didn't EA wouldn't earn as much money as if I bought it pre-release. The only hard part will be avoiding the massive amount of hype and spoiling that will ensue.

@ Dice: I agree, I use Steam for most of my purchases, and digital downloads are easier on shelf space. But again, Best Buy gift cards are only good at Best Buy, and I've already looked into upgrading my laptop to have a better graphics card (no go). Other than games, they don't have anything else that interests me.

I've been looking at either the Neverwinter Nights series or an strategy game like Warcraft 3 or Age of Empires III. Thoughts?

Well, I already have Morrowind. And Oblivion is actually installed on it, and works (somewhat).

In any case, Skyrim is a little expensive. I'm trying to stay under $40, or go just a little bit over.

All of my saves are on Steam, so I really hope that EA gets of it's high horse and provides a Steam release. I don't even care if it's more expensive.

Looking back through the thread, I seem to be one of the few people who enjoyed both of the previous games, despite their differences. How strange
