See, I pushed all the blocks to the right, and made the jump. However, I don't think I opened a shortcut. Looking back (this happened last night) I think that was a totally different lever, as I found the shortcut (just past a chest with poison gas in it) but it was still closed.

I think I found the dungeon proper, it's blocked with a huge metal pillar. I couldn't do anything there, and turned back.

I miss Sana's magic. She'd make this whole section so much easier 

EDIT: I was right, the lever across the water leads to the shortcut, but there is a second gate past a trap chest that remains closed. I also re-found the altar past the first gate, but no sign of the dungeon entrance. This game needs a map system.

EDIT AGAIN: So I was talking to the villagers in windmill town again, and one of them mentioned the Tower. He recommended I talk to the mayor for the key. Mayor said that he didn't have the key, but there was supposed to be a crest in the hills beyond the town. Now I head back, and I'm getting dialogue.
WHAT. THE. CRAP.
So apparently I was trying to sequence-break without meaning to. No wonder I couldn't get anything to happen!

I have the first crest from the little Wind Temple, and now Sana is sick. I can't figure out what to do, though I've gone all the way to the loch, discovered that the tower needs a key to open, and have been through a sort of mini-dungeon that you access on the other side of the windmill town (I can't remember the name of the town). The mini-dungeon was filled with very annoying kangaroo enemies, I spent a small fortune on healing items, and I finally made it to a stand similar to the one in the Wind Temple, but without a crest. Now I'm back in the windmill town. I just need a hint, because at this rate I'm going to hit max level soon and I've been doing it without a single ally. I'm never gonna take Healing Water for granted again, because damn.
