Alright, let's get this thing started. For mission zero we have:

A: Kilroy the Grand as Advolvit I, Flamer Marine
B: warhammer651 as Argatson, Grunt #1
C: Luke_Prowler as Kanth Bawick, Grunt #2
D: Mephansteras as Aradiel, Sword Sergeant

Turn 1: Command Phase

Spoiler: Map (click to show/hide)

You rolled a 1 for Command Points. Because you have a living sergeant, you may re-roll for CP, keeping the second result. Do you wish to do so?

Nuh uh! The point is to insult the other person as if you were a child, dummy!

We still need a volunteer to be sword sergeant. We still need initial positions (who's in front, who's second, etc). This stuff was supposed to be done on Monday, so we could start. C'mon people, discussions of ham can wait  :(

It's pretty easy to assume that the characters have all swapped some stories by now. Here is the dorf's tale:

Anakha Beerbarrel was born 150 years ago, to a family of fifth-generation brewers living in the hills near Crestport. The Beerbarrel family was not one of the great clans from the mountainhomes, but their product was nevertheless of reasonable quality and they made a decent living selling booze to local taverns. When Anakha was born, his father looked forward to teaching him, the only son, all the tricks of the trade.

The gods had other plans, however. When his beard first began growing in, everyone was astonished to see that it was pure silver in color, none more so than young Anakha himself! Everyone knew what this meant; according to his clan's legends, a silver beard was a sign from Abnuir, singling him out as a potential runepriest. He was taken away from his family to the mountainhome of Thurgim and trained in the secret art of runesmithing for decades. When he finally mastered the basics of his craft, he was given the honorary name "Silverpelt" and sent into the world to continue his training.

As a runepriest, Anakha wanders the world, doing occasional odd jobs like enchanting or fending off petty criminals. His time among the other races has tempered his dwarven tendency towards seclusion, though he still prefers to travel alone or in small groups.

Goddamn Merkids. With Sana down, trying to take two of them (backed up with a mage) was an exercise in futility.

Fortune Summoners.

Oh god there's a sphere in my room. It's just black and it's hovering there. Oh god what do I do?
Call the SCP Foundation. I'm sure they'll be interested.

I will say this: the network coding and graphics are nothing short of amazing. 7 billion+ players online at any given time, with barely a trace of lag. Considering that everything in the environment is an accurately-rendered, interact-able physics object and it's all in a single realm, it's pretty damn incredible.
They even managed to have a full 8 other major physics systems in the space region running, no matter what was (or wasn't) near them!
Heck, that's the least of their accomplishments. They also have a few hundred million similar regions moving through space, all interacting with each other, orbiting a center of gravity, and collectively making up an even larger physics object that is interacting with billions of other similar objects! Sorry KSP, Source engine, and other physics games, you can't beat that.

Whoa dude, spoilers!

Anyway, I'm loving the game as well. The combat is very satisfying and intense. I'm not sure why a ten-year-old girl with a sword makes for more exciting combat than a big-budget title like Dragon Age, but it does.

This LOOKS awesome. I'd need more information before posting shutuptakemoney.png, but that pixel work makes me drool a little.

Sadly, the devs still seem to be dead-set on their "no explicitly supernatural content" rule. You'd think they'd at least give us aliens, but so far nothing.
Are you sure thats just a eternal bug in the system they can't be arsed to fix because it would interfere with their war arcs?
To be honest, I'm not sure. The dev team is remarkably tight-lipped about just about everything.
You know, no one ever clearly defined whether or not it was a dev team, or a single lunatic of a developer.
Good point.
